He scored twice against them last year in Death Valley , had a great game . Now , if this is true ...he'll get absolutely walled up by former teammates and probably end up missing a bowl game because the Coots won't win 6 games this year.

Dug, IMHO he can make a difference there especially since a good RB is a desperate need for the coots. I think he could be the difference in close games such as KY, MO and TN. He could help them get the needed 6 wins and end up in Shreveport.

So you're saying that their best player will be a 2nd string former Clemson player?

I watched him play in HS. He was best catch the ball on a swing pass or just a short route and then running a long way like he did against Alabama. Clemson just has too many weapons to rely on swing passes. I wish him well where ever he goes and he deserves a great season and honored his 4 years @ Clemson.

to watch many losing seasons to come. And, be outcast from Clemson program family. That is what seems saddest to me.
The returning guys that come back to enjoy the family vibe they have here, walk the sidelines, Tajh helping the Natty broadcast, grad asst, etc... Feaster will miss out on that. He'll have to resolve himself to associating with the coots. Even if he feels comfortable making that move now, likes the players for whatever reason, has an opportunity to play, etc... He will likely look back in 10 years at the same ol dumpster fire the coots will always be.
Regardless, I can't wait to see the look on his face watching Clemson run by him on the sideline. You know the TV cameras will be on this story, for sure.

Not sure it will open any doors in the midlands for him.
It would be a very poor decision.

I personally don't think he would be outcast at Clemson, unless something more happens this year such as him talking a lot of trash about our program, him somehow leading them to a win over us, or some sort of incident involving him in our game.
Assuming he goes there, and they have an ordinary 5-7, 6-6, 7-5, type of season without any drama from him then I think it'll largely be forgotten about by the majority of people in the future. I certainly wouldn't see Dabo keeping him away if he wanted to come back around in the future.
I think it'll be one of those things in 10 years where a lot of people would have forgotten about it until reminded. I could see a group of fans rewatching the NC from last year and whenever the long catch by Feaster comes up someone will mention that he played his final year at South Carolina, and the rest of the people will have just been reminded of it at that point.

I could be wrong because I don't know any of the players personally, but they don't seem to be the types to disown him over this choice. Maybe they'd joke a bit, but I'd be surprised if it was in a hateful type of way. I could be wrong though, and obviously a lot of that will depend on how he handles things going forward.

How many 10-year ago transfers do you see come back now?
I agree current players who know him, and worked with him, will likely stay friends or whatever.
So many guys have left for transfer the last 10 years. I don't see any of them returning. And, they didn't go to the fugging enemy.
I can't even think of a reason he'd come back. Whole dynamic of his Clemson relationship is ruined IMO.

I guess it depends on him. He does have his degree from here, which I know he's not the first to transfer that has had one, but I'd say most guys who've transferred in the past probably did so before getting their degree. So he is an alum, and he was on 2 NC teams while playing a fair amount in each of those years as well as the year between. I'd say that makes him a lot different from many transfers. At the very least he'll be invited for NC reunion stuff.
Like I said though, it really depends on him IMO. Maybe he won't ever feel the need to ever come back, or maybe he will.

Not sure how bitter his thinking is. I am not sure how he thinks he has been done wrong, he had a ton of snaps, but more went to the guy who got better results. I wish him no misfortune but he has to know that if he goes to the dirt peckers, knowing how thuggish and slimey they are, first hand, and going anyway, he is a bit of a special project to our D. He might be up to it, but I am not sure the dirt pecker's O line gets him 100 yards, and if they don't we bury them as usual.
And of course, if he is so fortunate as to get a winning TD v. Clemson, he can never come back to CU, his alma mater. Just don't know how bitter he is. Sure liked a bunch of his runs, and was a decent pass catcher. Too bad this is even an issue. The rule should not have been changed.

FWIW, the same would be true at VT

I don't think he'd exactly be welcomed back if he scored the game winning TD for the Hokies to win the ACC Championship (not saying it would happen, just talking in the hypothetical scenario).
That said, VT is a RB away from having a great offense. We have a solid QB. A solid OL. A couple very good receivers and a few more decent ones. But our RBs are average at best. Feaster may not be elite, but he's far better that what we have. From what I understand, South Carolina could use a back too, but has one or two guys who have a real shot to be better than average. Not to mention, he'd likely get banged up less at VT.
Then again, how much is he going to get beat up when his team is trailing by 30?

No OL in front of him. Will not be a factor in running plays, in my opinion, because he may not get out of the backfield.

They had 5 guys average over 5 yards per carry last season, and granted they didn't run the ball a lot, but if those guys could produce like that then what makes you think Feaster couldn't do anything at all?

Do you really think Feaster would transfer to a school that wants to redshirt him? I'm not sure graduate transfers can redshirt, although I have not read a specific rule against it, but Feaster isn't going anywhere where he will be redshirted!

It's relatively close to home and he's significantly more talented than any RB on the roster which means he'll be the starter and their every down back from day one.

I know this going to be an unpopular opinion but if you really think...
1) he cares about the Clemson fans opinions of the school he transfers to 2) his Clemson teammates will disown him for going to a rival
you are way out of touch with college athletics. Each of these young men only gets one shot at chasing a dream of playing in the NFL. If moving to SC makes the most sense for him and his family, who are we to hate on that. We should be thankful for the time he gave our university and wish him the best no matter where he goes. This is all about the man....not the jersey. Drives me crazy to see a bunch of fans hate on someone who gave their school many good years tear him down because of his transfer decision. As much as I hope SC never wins another game, I'd always root for Feaster

If this happens...some reporter should call the parents of the rising senior RB's the coots currently have on their roster.
I'd like to hear their take on their son's working 3 years within a program, only to possibly get overshadowed their final year by someone who hasn't yet stepped onto campus.
Yes, I still remember the call to CJ Spiller's mother.

Out of all the 130 FBS schools, there is only one school that should be off the table for a Clemson man: Coots.
We will hold our noses at UNC, Jawja, OSU... but the coots. Nope, off of the table.

Agree and think he might be better served sitting, saving treadwear, & prepare for combine (should kill the 40 on a bad day). I can't see his draft status improving regardless of the #'s he posts because of position he plays and it's value in todays NFL. I would never draft a RB in the 1st 3 rounds & would be very reluctant to do it in the 4th.
