I hear it in cootlumbia everyday. They think/believe their days of losing to us is over. And beating them this November won't change their feelings. When you have been a bottom feeder as they have been for over a 100 years. You win three in a row and the pain from a very painful past is relieved. The thought of going back is absolutely suicidal to them. They are choosing to live before that black death repeats its self. And it will!!!

His talent is in conflict with his integrity. Usually, you don't find men with such low character and high talent. It took both to get them out of the SEC cellar. Soon the old sac will start dragging the ground. His edge will dull and the coots won't fire him for at least five years. See FSU's debacle with Bowden or consider what VT is going through these days. Yah, I think Beamer is done. They'll repeat the same mistake we did with West and FSU did with Jimbo.
I always hoped they'd have a really good season so that the fall and the abrupt stop when they hit the concrete cellar floor would knock them back to reality. I think last year was it!

It won't happen, allorange. GamecockNation will NEVER go back to mediocrity. We like winning and we fully intend to keep it that way at any and all costs.
When SOS finally retires - much later than many think and even more are hoping for, we'll get another one just like the other one and pay him 7 million $$$ or more or whatever it takes. Is Saban reading this post? Same goes for Tanner - although he'll likely be the next AD and he knows he better get a clone for his replacement - NOTHING else will do.

y'all had better enjoy it. no one wants to replace a legend, and y'all have already crowned sos as the programs savior (i don't know why,he hasn't won anything big at usuc). tanner will be impossible to replace. your day in the sun is over, and it's time to resume your rightful place at the bottom of the sec least, battling kentucky for that spot, as vandy is set to pass both of those programs. uga,fla,vandy,tenn.,usuc,kentucky in that order in football in the next few years.

Like I told a SC friend of mine who tweeted it, "There was a time when we could do the same flow chart for Carolina with everything ending in, 'Wait til next year.'" Unfortunately, it has been that "next year" for a few years now... time for the tides to change back. Doesn't fire me up because even though they say the numbers don't matter... they really do.

We really need to remember what this is all about. It is a rivalry, not about national championships or conference championships or bowl wins. It is about who beats who the most. In baseball and football we have sent the coots home more times with their lips poked out than they have us and that should be some comfort, it is for an old man like me. Maybe not lately, but all that can change the next time we play them. Lets remember we still got a lot to be proud of. Our team did play well this weekend.

I was definitely proud of how they performed. If not for that first inning snafu, we would have been in control of Sunday's second game and heading to a Monday night thriller. We had their pitchers' numbers all weekend, their defense just stepped up big to go along with some key hits. They'll bounce back with a chip on their shoulder and hopefully train hard.
