If the SEC goes to a 9 game conference schedule in 24

(3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating) how long does it take Georgia and LSU to drop Clemson from their schedule in 24 (UGA) and 25,26 (LSU)? You know they will say it will be too much to play an SEC schedule of 9 games. Get ready for it.

I was looking at the future schedules website and UGA has Clemson and Ohio State and GT of course noncon in 2030. With the expanded playoff I hope the trend becomes scheduling more Power 5 opponents OOC and less cupcakes but I doubt it.

That will be death to USuC. They will actually have to play Bama, LSU, and Auburn more often rather than ST. Mary's School For Girls.

I don't mind a rotation of in-state cupcakes, 1 a year

Citadel, Furman, SCST, USC, Coastal. I think it's good to help the smaller instate schools. But games like Uconn, Wyoming, etc should be off limits unless they are a last resort for a game cancelation type scenario.

Equally concerning is if one/some/all of the following of Kentucky, SC, UGA, Florida dropping their rivalries with Louisville, Clemson, Ga Tech, and FSU.
Missouri dropped Kansas. Texas dropped Texas A&M. Florida dropped Miami so longstanding traditional rivalries have been abandoned before.

Not going to happen. Since ESPN is home to the ACC and SEC they are going to enjoy proclaiming and marketing that they have the BEST rivalry weekend on THEIR family of networks with the instate battles between the SEC and ACC along with Bama/Auburn and Texas/aTm among others. Fox will have OSU/Michigan and USC/UCLA and ??????(Can't think of that many more)

Sounds like the "Alliance" would finally start working after all.

How many years does will it take Anderson University to do what El Cid has done and beat the Coots?
