what, if anything, keeps DJ from entering the portal? Most will say, “nothing” but is there anything?

Yep, he will be gone. Will be left with 2 walk ons because we have not gotten a QB with experience from the portal.

QB is the last position I want from the portal. The leader on each side of the ball should be a Tiger from day one. I want winners like Klubnik that chose us from the start to be out there leading us. I'm good with lineman, receivers, and maybe a DB or two.

Judge, Our current approach is not working? In the last 11 years we have won a minimum of 10 games. Only the third team in history to do so. We have been to 6 CFB playoffs. We have been to 4 Natty games. We have won 2 National Chmpionships! Our current approach to basketball is what is not working!

His affinity for Bojangles, that don't have that back at USC. I want to see him succeed here though.

The ideal situation would be for “Good DJ” to be back for spring ball. Klubnik would then start his sophomore and junior seasons.

You must be joking...DJ can't read a defense, Cade can do it in a prostyle offense! I wish DJ all the success in the world and I think he's probably a nice kid and is caught up in this mess...Clemson needs a real D1 QB...just to set the record straight and as we've already heard DJ was rated 107th in the NCAA in passing efficiency...Chase Brice at App. State was rated 35th...is he still available in the transfer portal?

I don’t mean to sound cruel, but if DJ doesn’t improve enough to hold onto the starting job at Clemson, I don’t see any power of five program where he could start. He was literally one of the worst quarterbacks in the Power 5 this year. He was certainly the worst in the ACC.

He is going to redshirt, gain 40 lbs, and be protecting Cade's blind side at LT in 2023.

DJ was one of the worst QBs in the country. If he doesn't make a quantum leap from where he is now, no program worth a dime will want him.
The humiliation of being supplanted may force him to leave Clemson. I get that. However, the pastures won't be green unless he steps down to the FCS level.

That may well be the case. But to use Dabo's words "Best is the Standard"---the best/most consistent player wins the starting job regardless. Amirite?
