If Dabo was serious about changing anything

conn would already be packing his office this morning. If he isn’t fired today or this week don’t expect any major changes to take place. Because he is the epitome of doing less with more.

Has Dabo ever made any coaching changes mid-season?***

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Dabo is in uncharted territory. The undisputeable failure of this 2025 team is his responsibility. Pushing the same buttons but getting uneven or worse results is unacceptable. In addition, the financial impact for 2025 is likely to be very negative. Clemson ad cannot support itself with losing with the new structure. Schools like psu and lsu have large numbers of boosters and/or alumni. One lsu alone is going to fund the Brian Kelly buyout! Could we say that about Clemson?

Napier was 10x better than Rob Spence and took us to an ACC title game

If changes are made it will be after the season is my guess. Dabo isn't the type

to allow his actions to be driven by the complaints and advice from fans or people outside the program. You fire Conn now basically you're paving the way for Conn's assistant to be the position coach which will probably lead to that person being the position coach next year. I would rather they make changes at wholesale at the end of the season so you can make a clean cut from all the baggage at the same time. Firing somebody now isn't going to make the team play better or anything. IF anything it will just make a bad situation worse for the last month of the season. And it would look bad on coach swinney for prospective coaches when you go to hire. Its better to respect the coach for his service, let him serve out his tenure, and move on after he's completed the year. Prospective coaches will appreciate that.

He should have fired Wes after Louisville last year…we might have won the Coot game otherwise.

We held South Carolina to 17 points. If you hold a team to 17 points and you don't win the game, that's not on your defense.

Dabo is currently lining up verbal commitments to start at the end of the season.

It would shock me if Dabo made any changes mid season. He doesn't strike me as the type of coach to do that especially at this point where all theyre playing for is an outside shot at the Pampers Diaper Bowl.

I have no desire to be embarrassed by a group of 5 school in a meaningless bowl. Our luck they would draw Coastal in the Myrtle Beach Bowl and suffer a loss as embarrassing as anything that has been seen in over 125 years of Clemson football.

Conn has been safeties coach since 2017. Have we seen an issue before?

No.

So all of a sudden he forgot how to coach?

Based on secondary breakdowns that have shown up this year, it’s Conns fault?

I want the majority of the staff fired, but I don’t really see a point of doing it mid season. We’re not going to lure top talent away from other schools until the season is over so all this accomplishes is putting even more inexperienced jagaloons in our coaching ranks and most certainly hurting recruiting.

I would honestly expect to have most of the replacements lined up before any terminations are announced to minimize recruiting defections
