Just depends on how this team shakes out.
If he's having to throw and run to win most of the games he will be the greatest for one season. If the defense is dominating and he just has a great season without putting the team on his back he would be a top 2-3 quarterback.

I agree,at 1 point he held 53 clemson records.we had decent talent but nothing close to what we had from the boyd,watson,and Trevor days.

Cade has had to progress as a QB to become what he is now. And we haven’t seen the season unfold yet. I have him 4th on my list at the moment. We were not beating Bama in 16 without Deshaun. Deshaun is the best Clemson QB imo. He was tough and many times put the team on his back. Trevor Lawrence just has the intangibles and frame and skill set of an elite pro QB, and he always had elite playmakes around him. He’s a natural. Cade hasn’t always had a supporting cast, but he hasn’t always made the best decisions. Last year was a great year. All the pieces are there to have the best year since 2018.. BUT… I need to see that Cade is about his business like the other 3 were. Not saying he never has been, but he is the leader and his mental toughness and willingness to shake off bad plays and go score has to be the same as Deshaun, Trevor, and Tajh. He has all the abilities. This is the year for 2! He has top 3 potential for sure.

Anyone saying Cade wroth then be below 1 is being silly. Boyd, Watson and Lawrence all had a better cast to work with considering players and coaches. I mean really guys, an NC and a Heisman? We've had only 2 Qbs get close and they had better support too. Who knows what Cade mightve done if he didn't have to follow up behind the DJ doldrums and a few less than ideal coordinators and brand new assistants?
So some of you would put Fuller ahead of Whitehurst? Wasn't Fuller a Hiesman finalist? I think he was a better Qb than Jordan even though we did win the NC with Jordan.
Dantzler. The guy has never gotten the credit he deserves. Talk about poor support for a Qb.. he did have a running back to help, I don't recall a reliable receiver. His line wasn't particularly good, let's face it, his coaches weren't the best. I belive he was the first college qb to have 2k yards rushing and passing in a season. I still believe he should've won the Heisman.

Boom.rb was alright then receivers were decent but no depth past gardner.and o line well.id bet anything if he had Etienne ross and higgins. National champion.just my beliefs but no one could stop that.you are right he doesn't get half the credit he deserves.he was something special.imagine him with the cast Trevor had.and who stopping it

I dont know how people look past woody dantzler...he was a real problem and carried us the yrs. We had him.its a thing of we will never know but id be willing to bet if he had the talent trevor,watson,or boyd had.man his numbers would of been crazy.probaly would of been a heisman winner.please dont forget about woody.he was very very talented and def ahead of some of that list. Easily!!!

You’re sleeping on Cole Stoudt who threw three picks against Georgia tech to motivate the team to not lose another game until the national championship the next year. Very cerebral move and showed leadership there

I feel like Kelly Bryant is severely underrated. He is not top ten but he's up there maybe top 15ish. He just had the unfortunate situation of being in front of one or the greatest college QBs of all time.
