If Bryant starts it will be because Dabo and staff think he is the best QB, and gives us the best chance to win. I trust this staff to make that determination, they have earned my respect. I see them recruiting people who no one knows who are now starting in the NFL. I see them recruiting people who go elsewhere and start on teams like OhioSt and Auburn.
Now I see the top QB is committed ti us for next year, the top DE is committed to us for next year. Not only have this staff earned my respect they have the respect of the top athletes in the country.

And as you mentioned earlier, not only respect but trust in their decisions as well.

I respect them as well and Dabo gets better every year. When he has made a mistake (Napier, Steele) he learns from it and gets better.
That said, I hope we don't repeat 2014. At no point in 2014 did Stoudt ever give the team a better chance to win than a freshman, healthy Watson. Of course a huge difference from 2014 is the defense. This year's QBs will have the luxury of having a championship caliber defense to make the learning curve easier.

I just am remembering the Georgia game. The lack of offense led to our defense wearing out in the second half and Georgia running at will on us. I don't think that happens in 2017, even if the offense takes a few games to get it together.

I agree with you tgrfan. And like you I've gotten TD all night long for having this opinion. I didn't know it was a torn whatever but my nephew was listening to the game on radio and he said after the first couple series he got injured but they were talking on radio like it was no big deal.
Anyway, whether his hand was hurt or not, seems what I watched was his first instinct is to take off and run... he's showed me that from day 1. Nick was head and shoulders above kb last year.
Nearly everyone on tnet last year felt if something happened to DW4 that ns could step in but didn't feel like that with kb.
Nothing changed with me. All I say is if HJ was getting more 1st team reps we could run the same offense we did with DW4.

I think the key is to get down to a 2 QB race by the end of Aug. Then 1 by mid season. Honestly, I think this comes down to Cooper and Johnson....just my take. #21

There have been QBs that could run so well that it just worked

Everybody knew they were going to run but couldn't consistently stop it and they could make throws when they had to. Maybe that will be Kelly Bryant until he get his passing more consistent.
