the first game. I've been critical, but not going to make a huge judgement on the first BB game. As a ex BB coach , sometimes it just doesn't get off the ground right. No biggie, they won and lets see who they really are in the coming games.

We have the most pathetic non-conference schedule I've ever seen so not sure the upcoming games will tell anything. We will over achieve because we were picked to finish 11th in a mediocre conference.

You're hanging your hat on 1 season that is still being written. You know they remember November and an ACC title can still be had.
In BB's case they remember March and it shows he has a 22-30 record in that month. Good thing he benefited from the first season OP left behind and his one decent run in the 2013-14 NIT. I guess 37-40 in the month of February is nothing to sneeze at when you're just a November/December kind of basketball coach.

If you think the non-conference schedule is bad ask Pitt how their first non-conference game went. Blown out by Citadel.

Capel is supposed to be a good young coach but he loses a lot of guys to the portal and never seems to get much out of his team

Capel is supposed to be a good young
coach but he loses a lot of guys to the portal and never seems to get much out of his team
Pitt also have had a ton of injuries so far early in season. They had like three or four players out from the game recap I read.

a win. I saw TNet lit up with our play and couldn’t track the score on either Espn channel. Flipped to the ACC Network for the score updates and saw Navy playing UVA tough. A good game, Navy played great and out hustled UVA, which was gassed near the end. UVA seems to live and die by the 3 point shot, which they could not hit.
