A lot of things need to happen in order for us to beat Syracuse 1. Cade needs to get the ball out faster and hit his open targets 2. We need to catch the ball!! 3. Randall needs to get better and hesitating when necessary and hit holes hard when open 4. DL needs to get meaner. JUST DOMINATE the line of scrimmage 5. LBs are good, keep doing what your doing 6. CB better anticipation 7. Coaches dont out think your plays. call what works and know you have better players than the other side
If we do all those things we will win, and i will feel slightly better about the team

I feel that we are too talented to lose to Syracuse. I think this team will respond to the adversity. Getting his players to refocus is one of Dabo's superpowers.
I am concerned that we might have letdowns though. I expect Belichick to have his guys ready when we play them on October 4th in Chapel Hole.

Seriously? Cuse v Troy would be a good game. Troy might beat them. Uconn had them beat... and that was before all of Cuse injuries. There's virtually zero chance this game is close.
If we don't score on every possession, I'd be shocked. Even the Cuse coach knows they're going to lose. But to his credit, he'll play a lot of people because he's building for the future.
I predict 45-3 , but that depends on whether Dabo pulls the starters. Which if he's smart, he will pull them early. Saying, Cuse may score late.
We have 5 (p4 teams in name only) scrimmages until we play another good team.

So your prediction is our offense nearly matches their point total thru 3 games in this one single game? lol.
I hope I’m wrong but that just doesn’t even seem possible with how they’re performing.

How bout let’s see if we play well. Win or lose, if we play like we’re a well coached team, I’ll be happy. If recent trends are any indication, I’ll be throwing things at the television.

After all, Dabo is at such a big disadvantage since Clemson is such a poor school. We simply can't compete with the big schools to pay players. In addition, he is the only coach doing things the right way, so he is, in a sense, a martyr. Moreover, players today are selfish and are not willing to put in the hard work. Getting them to perform and respond to the elite coaching they are receiving is really hard.
Poor guy, he's doing the best he can. Even if we lose every game, as long as we play well and represent Clemson well, who are we to criticize? After all, Dabo has won two national championships, and has never failed at anything in his life.

As usual- you state bullcrap and are nothing but a petulant jack-ass who enjoys being one.
Dabo even in these “down years” where we are “only” 9th in wins, at least we know Dabo will never to lose to the equivalent of McNeese St on a critical post season game or otherwise.
You try and try to knock Dabo down, yet he’s still running the most lucrative and successful sports program in Clemson history.
And we know we’ve already seen the best season in Brads history, and then he failed mightily after that.
Look, if you get pleasure in contrived badmouthing of Dabo, at least try to remember and state your guy is a failure in 16 years.
Dabo has 20x the accomplishments of your guy, and he’s not done yet. Brad has done nothing except for one season.

Why do we continue to put down one Clemson sports program to justify for another?
This will never make any sense to me but to each their own I suppose
And no… it’s not backing up JK… has nothing to do with him.
I simply will never understand badmouthing one Clemson program to prop up another.

Brad is a cool dude, but all I did was cite the lack of accomplishments over 16 years and how it pales in comparison to Dabo.
I don’t go around normally attacking the basketball program, but when JK trolls the football program and Dabo, well then the facts of the basketball program come into play.
JK is a disingenuous weasel and troll.

My hope is that we can somehow find the aggression that has been missing and win this game. I would encourage every Clemson fan that has even a limited knowledge of offensive schemes to watch the video from last week by our own Eric Mac Lain where he shows you plays that makes you ask "what kind of play is that" or who in the world came up with that stupid play as it will never work. One play in particular puts the TE in motion to the right, puts him right in front of DT or LB poised to blitz, but then inexplicably he turns and moves to the left where there is no one to block????? Really! I say stay in position to block the guy in front of you! Bottom line, our offensive plays are predictable and ineffective and our QB cannot find the open receivers while they are still open. Watch the videoes that Mac Lain shares and explains. Go Tigers! And don't fire Dabo but do consider firing the OC for having no imagination and stupid plays. IMO

Bingo!!! Unfortunately we can run the same stupid plays the next 5 games and still win. The score is meaningless. It's more about the what and why over the next 5 games.

Could be way off. I'd have to go back and listen to the pressers and it doesn't matter. But Dabo hired The Chad to build what would become the "Clemson Offense ". Not exactly the same thing that he publicly said about the Riley hire. That's part of the problem. We've tweaked it to a more controlled balanced Offense and no longer run the hunh. Used to be more like malzohn with the eye candy, motion and misdirection. Either we can't, or we won't. I also don't know if it's cade checking into the blocking scheme, or through headsets under Riley or what... but even if the execution is flawless and we're net positive, the design is not good.
Anyway, I base my predictions on beliefs that we'll clear those mistake plays up. Plus, as I said, the personnel we face the next few weeks our bad play design will work on the lesser competition.

Sure. There is an offensive play call or two that make you scratch your head. maybe the TE didn't do what he was supposed to do. But Cade has about 6 to 8 head scratchers per game. Those mistake have got to be cut inn half. That's all he has to do for our tigers to finish 9-3 this year.

Depends on the how.
If antonio williams comes back and looks 100% healthy and our linemen come back healthy and barnes is able to contribute in the secondary and we blow them out? Absolutely.
If we have another "troy" and come away by the skin of our teeth I'll be happy for a win but it will feel like same ol same ol.

Never change your outlook over 1 game within a larger subset. One game where we might look good can’t detract from the three where we’ve looked bad.
I think we win comfortably and hope that the team gets healthy and puts it all together from game to game. Everything is still attainable.

We’re in the ACC. We should roll out and beat 6 or 7 teams.
I want to see how the rest of the season unfolds. If we beat SMU, Florida St and Louisville I may start to get excited again.
Is Florida St really that good? Will we even really have a chance to beat another “really good” team? Maybe the ACC Championship game against a Miami, or a bowl game (but bowl games are weird now with so many players opting out). Like Florida St (if they are really good) may be the only team we play that’s really good….

Depends on how we look.
If we win in a blowout where the offense plays great, then I’ll feel confident moving forward.
If we struggle, or even lose, nothing would change for me.

Won’t change much. Unless we won like 55-10. Which I know we’re incapable of.

That’s like asking if we beat Wake Forest, will you feel better about this team. Syracuse stinks.

I’ll feel good just to get a solid win against any ACC team. I want it to be by 2 scores minimum

Depends on how they look. The score will be very telling of how they looked. Unless Dabo were to shut down early, which this team doesn't need to do.

I will be happy with the win and evaluate each game each week and support my inspector again and then hopefully in the season end we can get this thing turned around again

Sitting at 2-2 is still kind of eh. I’d like to get to a winning record and then we can regroup.

How do you feel about the team now? I am a Clemson grad and quit going to games due to mediocrity during the Bowden era. Same crap now! Losing to teams we should beat on a regular basis. Dabo likes to talk about his stats and history… look at the current trend. 2020-10-2, 2021-10-3, 2022-11-3, 2023-9-4, 2024-10-4, 2025-1-3? More loses every year in last 5 years. As a former statistics guy, this is definitely a trend and to change the trend requires an action. He is too slow to adapt and should sit anyone who is taking plays off. These guys are getting paid now and schools need to treat them that way. Not performing get rid of them. They wanted this, so there are reactions to every action.
