I think we should make it easy for everyone to vote

Including mail-in. But I think in-person is the best, for now, and would recommend that to anyone.

Well my point is if you can go to the grocery store then you can go out and vote. This will remove any doubt unless you are hoping to change an election with fraud.

You can indeed, and health officials have said so.

Some people may not be personally comfortable doing so, and that is their choice, but the appropriate authorities have cleared the way for in-person voting.

Can't wait for all the voter suppression stories...

Due to lost/not on time/etc. absentee ballots.
*Requests absentee ballot*
Ballot doesn't arrive in time, or thrown out, etc.
Goes to polling location and can't vote.
Anger ensues.
Surely that will never happen.

There are 50 different sets of voting rules.

No one can claim all absentee voting is bad and no one can claim it is good because of the rules, safety features and practice of absentee voting is not standardised.
Universal mailin voting only happens in a few states and from reports I've read the longer the process is practiced the more easily it is to manage. I'm guessing the rules get refined and the public gets better at following the rules which leads to less rejections and better representation of what the public wants.
I believe ballot rejection is going to be the big issue in the upcoming election. Second to that will be ballots arriving after they are lawfully received. This is what all the lawyers are being hired to influence.

on the night of, or even the week of, Election Day. That is OK. I just pray for a peaceful resolution that has the confidence of the people.

Re: rules will be changed when counting ballots, my prediction

I don't care what they do or how they do it as long as the person with the most legal voters gets elected. 62% of the voters say they will vote in person. 129 million in 2016 so expect maybe 50 million.
Imo, the more focus on mailin ballot fraud the more likely people will vote at the polls. As long as dems continue to believe republicans are the cheaters and republican continue to believe dems are the cheaters the number of people who vote in person will continue to grow.
