Hegseth hustling to get drone program up to speed - where was Lloyd Austin?

Beetch beetch beetch about Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth is all we hear about from Trump haters.
BHA’s (Biden Handlers Administration’s) DEI SoD, Lloyd Austin, on the other hand, never got anything close to the smears that Hegseth gets.
So, here’s Hegseth, hustling to get America’s drone program up to a competitive standard with Turkey and Ukraine, not to mention Russia.
Why did the US Military twiddle its thumbs re drone program before Hegseth arrived? The impact of drones on the battlefield had been displayed in vivid color via the UKR / RUS war. What was Lloyd Austin doing? Why wasn’t BHA all over L.Austin for lack of leadership? Too busy covering for L.Austin about his multiple AWOLs?

just because inferior armies are using a tactic, doesn't mean the US needs to copy them.
I know this sounds good in your brain, but it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how US combat operations work.
When I led combat patrols, I had two F-15s or an A-10s on top of me telling me what was 500 meters ahead of me. Ukraine and Russia are using them because they can't dominate the airspace the way the US can.
Our counter-drone program is much more important than offensive operations. This is just a gimmick to give SpaceX or another buddy a pork filled government contract to make a bunch of drones that aren't very useful for the US military.
