TCI did not say or quote Shipley transferring. The only question that was asked is "have you thought about your future after this season " and he responded he was only focused on the now but sure, "as the season wears down, I've got to weigh plenty of options". I took that as weighing his options on declaring for the draft. I'm sure agents have been all over him, and probably 3rd parties throwing money at him too.
Not sure why he'd consider transferring. He's clearly our featured back and gets the most touches. He was out against ND. Mafah and our D single-handedly won us that game. Blocking scheme helped him some but Mafah field vision is superb.
Even given that, Shipley got more overall touches in ga tech game.

He’s not an every down back in the NFL. He will likely be dinged for his smaller size, and there will be questions about his durability. He does bring a different element though, especially with his ability to catch passes out of the backfield.
I’d think a best case scenario for him is 3rd-4th round. Given the fact that RBs don’t have long shelf lives, it’s not unreasonable for him to consider entering the 2024 draft to maximize the length of his career.

I'd say that's an excellent chance. The new article that just posted on TCI, Shipley talks about the no targeting calls.
He's obviously been very fortunate in his career to have not taken any big hits before. He admits as much, and admits the play with nc st is the first time he's ever thought about head injuries... obviously has scared him quite a bit. Even admits he was timid in the ga tech game at first.
He most definitely could and probably should take your scenario and go for it. I now get the impression he's rethinking a lot.
