I wonder what Ben Boulware is thinking through all of this?

We're talking about our football team being soft with Ben Boulware on staff. Wow.
I know he's part of the coaching staff, and can't say or do things contrary to the team narrative....BUT....that thought occurred to me this morning. No disrespect towards him, I actually have a huge amount of respect for what he brings, but he has to be going crazy right now.

his position group has been disappointing. Not saying its him but I also am surprised given results so far that he hasn't gotten into someones ear on the sideline (maybe he has and tv hasn't shown it). I was just expecting he would be more visible.

No one is doing all that great coaching on the side lines.

They're all just moping around.
The only one I saw actually trying to coach was Grish.
I've never seen our team that lethargic. It was unbelievable.

Just another inexperienced coach on staff

appreciate his effort during his playing days but he wasn’t the most fundamentally sound/disciplined player so would have preferred he get coaching experience/prove himself as a coach somewhere else first. Same sentiment I have about quite a few on staff. Being a beloved player and loving the school, doesn’t make you a great coach.

Overpaid Being good at something doesn’t mean you can teach the same. It’s a fact that you can’t make ######### into racehorses. We could do without 1/2 the staff. Quality > quantity

Yes. Wife and I have gone to Walk On's a time or two (they were separated by a wall, in case you didn't know). It closed at least by summer.

These new defensive coaches have had a combined 10 weeks of practice time. Anyone that thought we were reinventing the defense this year is a moron

That's a virus that's infected the entire team. Most of the coaching staff as well.

2 points: 1) playing with the passion of a Ben Boulware is one thing. Teaching others to do it is a horse of a different color. 2) I don't see how anybody could coach a player up on our sideline when there are 90 staff people there in a muddled mess of uniformed humanity.

Loved him as a player but no experience as a coach. I put him in the Spiller category.

As I mentioned in a post a few weeks ago

I am good friends with someone in his extended family. This person speaks to Ben at family events. One such event was over the summer and according to Ben, Cade was going to win the Heisman this year. Safe to say, Ben had taken more than a few sips of the Koolaid at that point. So, as others have mentioned, I’m afraid he just doesn’t have the experience needed for his job title. A “Yes” man, former player, and nothing more.

He’s probably just gonna turn on Limp Biskit and tell his white LBs to “break stuff dude!” “Where my meat heads at??!”.
Well I hate to tell you buddy but they ain’t breaking #### they just keep getting put on skates by ###### teams.
He’s a joke of a coach just like the rest of the staff.

It has always been obvious who the leader has been on defense. Usually, the middle linebacker has been the driving force. Watching the games I cannot tell who leads the defensive unit. No linebacker looks capable of it.
