True, UVA has benefitted from some good breaks regarding turnovers. But Morris has made them light years better.
Despite what Dabos saying publicly, I’m sure he’s noticed and is already working on prospects.
I’d be shocked if we don’t bring in a good QB from the portal this offseason.

physical attributes you're looking for... big arm, tall, tough. I bet he shows out in practice and shows flashes of elite talent but his problem is processing speed and inconsistency. I think they look at him and say this guy could be all-world. But it just hasn't' happened yet.
Honestly after his first ever full games against BC and Notre Dame in South Bend I thought he was going to be our first Heisman trophy winner (BC-342 and 2 TDs & ND-439 yds and 2 TDs.) I thought man if this is his base level ability then the skies the limit with him once he gets more experience. Boy did that not come to fruition.

We might get someone decent who can maybe compete for a starting job or, more likely, be a backup. But I do not expect this staff to go "all in" on a star transfer portal QB who will be a big difference maker. It's not in their DNA.
They will rationalize it by saying "they have to want us too" and state or imply that it requires cheating and a war chest of money we don't possess to get a star QB from the portal.
Rinse and repeat.

We had a big need at DE and signed a highly ranked transfer.

If you were any of the WRs, skill etc, would you return next year with what is currently on the roster?
Or would you go somewhere that has a QB that can get you the ball, ON TIME, to strengthen your chances of fulfilling your NFL dream?
You think this year is bad? Imagine if he doesn’t get a good QB from the portal. 2-10?

While QB will be the most important, I don’t see us shelling out tons of money for an entire supporting cast. In other words, only going after an expensive QB will ultimately be worthless and a waste of money. I’d save it and use for when the team actually has a chance for a playoff run. But that’s just my opinion.

I have to agree. Dabo isnt going to bring in a QB of the caliber we need. He will want to make it look like its CV's job to lose. Hes not going to bring us a guy that he is going to have to hand they keys to. At least at quarterback

Morris has moxie, that’s mostly innate. He’s sees the field well, is relatively accurate, and can make plays with his legs when called for. IMHO, a much better prospect than Cade. We need to recruit guys like that.
