I've always said that was the craziest ending to a game I've seen. I don't

Donald's was closer. It was wide left but landed on the back line of the end

I was there.
The final 2 plays were field goal attempts from both teams.

I was there that day. Extremely unique set of circumstances to bring about back to back FGs. You need to be in a tie game, at about this location on the field, at the end of a half (but with enough time for the other team to get one snap and only one snap off). Oh yeah, both kickers better have absolute cannons.

I once saw him kick a 60 yard FG barefooted...

without stretching or warming-up, and it would have been good from 70 yards.
When he arrived at Clemson he had never even seen an America football game let alone have an understanding of the rules. The first game he ever saw was the first game he played as a freshman against Wofford.
While warming-up prior to soccer practice, he would ask us questions and we would try to explain the game and the rules to him.

Wow, the Clemson-UGA games back in Danny's days were classics. Coach Pell started it and Danny took the ball and ran with it. Great memories from those years.

I was at that game. I remember being terrified after Iggy's kick came up short. I hate ties.

I remember a Bob Hope line at Littlejohn. “ Iggie, kick the piggie”.
