I was a little surprised

Saturday when Clemson used the two back set in the third quarter of the game. I have often wondered why they didn’t use Shipley and Pace together. It seemed to work well. I think the coaches wanted to see how the opposing defense would respond to this change in the formations. Expect to see it again Saturday. I think that Pace is rapidly becoming a key guy in the offense. I really like the way he plays the game. We may even see him become a receiver on a few plays. We really haven’t thrown to Shipley very much this season. I think we will see several additions to the offense Saturday. The third team running back also got some snaps in the Miami game. Makes me think our coaches are getting ready for a BIG win.

This is going to be a fantastic game to see Saturday . Our neighbors are feeling good and confident about coming to Death Valley. I hope the weatherman is kind to us. A good hot Death Valley would be like old times!

What are the odds for a shutout? Miami just escaped one with their third quarter resurgence.

Not sure we'll see too many shut outs because of the way we start playing conservatively when we get a lead. But wouldn't this be the PERFECT time to pull another 63-17???

The two back ser worked well in our bowl game last year. I expected to see more of it this year.

during last week. It's fair to expect our offense to progress as DJ progresses.

I have given that young man a ton of disrespect but I dearly wish he could finish this season with masterful skills reading defenses, looking off defenders and pinpoint passing. As DJ goes, so goes our offense. That was more than evident Saturday, it was obvious and I believe the playoff committee will recognize that.
