But I know whats going to happen. Dabo is going to play these cheap little small screen plays with super safe vanilla play calls that put him in 3rd and long and can't succeed.
He will look like he can't play the position because we will be more conservative than you can possibly imagine.
Some of you will be pissed at what im saying but deep down you know this is whats going to happen...

Maybe if that is what we do it is because CV can’t make certain throws. I don’t think that is the case, but Dabo & staff are going to make the best plan they can for us to win.

It will be a conservative plan. I can't imagine CV is going to start throwing the ball all over the yard. The Oline has to play its best game. Randall and the other running backs are going to have to run like they've never run before. And the wide outs and tight ends better catch whatever they can. Of course, the defense and special teams better be special. And the coaches better coach their ashes off. This is not UNC and its not BC. SMU is much better.

If CV's arm is as weak as some on Tnet say, then we'll get in trouble if he throws screen passes to the sidelines. That situation is begging for an interception if he has a weak arm.
He'd be much better off throwing over the middle, outs and down the seam.

I believe you are probably right, but that is what I think is the right thing to do. You can’t let an unproven quarterback sling it around. I am hoping Cade plays but it doesn’t look that way. Pearman in my opinion is the better option.

He’s going to play to win and he’s going to try to game plan around what CV is comfortable with and best fits his skills.
It could get ugly but Dabo will be as creative as he can, particularly if we are to have any hopes of a big turnaround. I think how the game is going will dictate adjustments. I’m sure he doesn’t want this to become a turnover fest but we will have to take some risks to get a W.

Blame the coaches! Always blame the coaches. It's never the players fault.
We've seen CV play for 3 years now. Spring Games, and multiple late blowout - empty the bench stuff like the UNC/BC game. Some of ya'll still aren't getting it.
CV Can't Play - If he could, you would have SEEN it by now.
Maybe he puts a drive or two together, but it always ends in a FG. Or turnover. They basically took the ball out of his hands, and ran Keith Adam's late vs BC.
Feel free to come back and flame me tomorrow night if i'm wrong. I actually hope i'm wrong. But i doubt it.

How did CV get 4-stars, I wonder...
These scouts at 247sports, On3, and Rivals did a poor job of evaluating quarterback talent in the 2022-2023 cycles. Not many quarterbacks in those aforementioned cycles have performed well up to this point.
Cade as an example was over-rated as well. Rather from his core quarterbacking abilities, his high star rating came from playing on a stacked team at his high school making whatever flaws he had masked.
Well, I guess we will see CV's core quarterbacking abilties (as a starter vs. the 1st team offense) in this upcoming game vs. what the recruiting scouts claimed to see in him as a prospect.

Dabo will try to give him confidence, but our mojo time is the first two quarters so by the third series he needs to take the training wheels off!
Let’s go backup to starter ability!
He’s been learning for 3 years!
