I think there should be some urgency by the 1s to get up 4 scores and let the depth get reps.

Repping the depth, as we all know, is critical to peaking in the championship phase, and this is the best reprieve during this span of our mid-season games to permit that. We are not as likely to enjoy that privilege against FSU, Cuse, or ND.
Never, ever, ever go into a game presumptuous or flat-footed, because it truly is hard to win, but if our first string guys play to their potential and with fire, they will be actively serving and improving this team by creating space for in-game development of other players.

In the past that's been Dabo's MO. He did what he could in the 1st 3 games. BC should be an opportunity to accomplish some of that. I'm hoping for at least a qtr where we can get 2nd stringers in.

Bc isn’t going to be a pushover at home

Their young players are coming on now. This could be an epic battle, we just need to win the game healthy so we will be healthy at FSU.
I wonder if we have been peaking ahead to the FSU game. It’s going to be a challenge anytime you go to FSU.
Some traditions are hard to break!
FSU has been getting ready for their game with us for a long time. Look for them to spank NC State so we are on prime time when we play FSU!
Let’s go Tigers!?

I'm with you right up to the point of them spanking NCS. I think NCS after a tough loss to us will be loaded for bear and playing at home against FSU will be a big advantage. If FSU does win then I will have to concede that what they are doing so far is no fluke.

We’ll see, but I don’t think that’s likely.

Our defense got truly burned against Wake and got the fear of God put in them sufficiently to hold NCSU to 34 yards rushing and 13 non-garbage points. They’re on the rise and they’re turning into the late-season monster we all expect them to be. BC’s OL is shady, and we’re gonna demoralize them.
Our offense is likewise on a high-confidence upward trajectory and is becoming more balanced and more lethal.
Gimme BC any ol’ time, I say. Deez boyz caint hold us back. I’ll be more reserved about away games at FSU and ND, though.

I'm not holding my breath. Until the OL starts making decent or even good gains a regularity, then I think we'll probably piddle and paddle around and win solidly but not put them away early. Stalled drives mixed with good ones, and I expect a victory in the neighborhood of 30-17 where we definitively pull away later than you're talking about.

but we have been looking better and better with offensive consistency. We’re one of the best in the country at 3rd down conversions. We have scored points on every red zone drive this season. This offense is showing it has the capability to flex on a susceptible defense and run up some quick points. We will see how that actually goes, but I am more than convinced it is within our wheelhouse at this point.

GO TIGERS
I've stated in several posts of my concern of not putting the game away by the 4th quarter. We need to be giving our reserves exposure, opportunities, & experience to prep them for: 1. increased depth for later this season, and 2. prep them for next season when we no longer have a talented & experienced 2-deep defensive front, as well as losing DJ, a couple of key dependable OL, & a couple of experienced receivers.
Having said that, both our Offense and Defense need to show up to show they can complement each other for the rest of the season, as well as turning the game over to reserves to build depth for the end of this season, as well as building experience for next year!

I agree with you that we need to get up on them early and keep our foot on their necks. BC is not the kind of team you want to let hang around until the fourth quarter and give them hope they can win.
