They spoke for a bit about their experience and support of tigers for tatas. Qualk then turned the conversation to football. After a few questions Dabo took over the conversation and went on his recent, much repeated monologue/rant about his success at clemson, the nattys, acc titles, etc. He also said he is a better coach now than he has ever been. All in all it was the same self aggrandizing we have been hearing lately. Just wonder what others thought.

Agreed. I felt like I was being preached to once again that winning is no longer really that important and I'm a miserable person because I would like for us to be at the least 5-1 and have been a little closer to meeting expectations before the start of the season. Guess it's easy to be happy about 3-3 in the A She She when you make 11 million a year and looking forward to a 60 million buyout if things go further south.

Was to promote the cause and discuss how it was personal to them as a family. Wasn't really the place for hard-hitting grilling type questions.

Man oh man. You know there are other teams in the world that DON'T have Dabo Swinney. Seeing as how he won't be leaving any time soon you may need to think alternative teams

I have no problem with Dabo's work in that area. I think its great. I've lost two family members to breast cancer but it is a sports station and the questions did turn to football eventually including asking about losing so many games in Death Valley as of late. It would just be nice to start to see some change.

I think you need to let it go. Dabo is a proven winner. He has won the most victories in ACC history. If you don’t know that or appreciate that, shame on you. He will correct anything that requires it. It may not be as fast as you like it but it will be done.

Its a business! People and organizations that have to tout past accomplishments to mask current failure are likely to fail sooner than later. I was told by a Operations Manager years ago as he pointed to multiple top supplier of the year awards, that our organization was only as good as today's shipment. He retired, we never won another award and the facility has lost all but 1 customer and has seen a 70% loss in profitability Talking about the past is not gonna serve us well. Most of us that were in the room the day he made that statement have moved on.

To my own reply, the Swinney's dedication to this great cause is highly admirable, but Dabo and his "look what I did 5 years ago" speeches are nauseating!!

I feel like calling these breast cancer awareness groups is a disservice. Everyone is aware of breast cancer, Tigers for Tatas isn’t about awareness, they’re about action and outreach. They do tremendous things like taking mobile mammogram busses to more backwater/poorer areas where screening rates are low throughout the area.
This gives numerous women a chance for preventative screening that they might not otherwise have access to and allowing them to get early treatment, greatly improving survival rates.
Calling it an awareness groups really sells short what they do for women in our area. Hats off to Kath for heading it up and CDS for amplifying her message allowing TforT to do some great things

Agree, my wife is a 2x breast cancer survivor….. if she had it 20 years ago, she likely would have died… the awareness and groups that help to take action AND fund research are amazing, it is a very livable/beatable disease now if proper care is provided, so glad when all women can have access to these services….

I didn't hear any of it, but it seems that it would have been best to stick with talking about breast cancer awareness.

Did your Pop Warner(PeeWee) team go undefeated every year that you played? How about middle school, high school or even the college team that you played on? Believe me, there was no $ involved at that stage( or shouldn’t have been)but it was serious. Cut the program some slack. As I’ve written before, nobody goes undefeated every season. Some come on here whining about 9 or 10 win seasons. Go Tigers!

mike is that you posting under garnet is uglys handle? man stop with the Infatuation with Dabo. You have your head so far up his ### that you cant see the sunshine anymore. He won all these games and titles in the past with quality assistants, not a staff full of his sons and family. Do you realize how long it has been since we actually beat a P4 team in our home stadium? Are you that dumb?
