Nuk is about to get paid

And some of the fans for the college he attended are saying he's wrong.
Bet it won't be wrong when he comes back and donates for a new football facility.
Bet all the players around the league who actually know what it's like to play in the most physical league in the world don't think it's wrong.
I know it's a message board and you can say whatever you want to, but sometimes I don't understand where people feel like they have the ground to stand on when judging an athlete. And everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don't see how people could keep a straight face without dying laughing when trying to judge a professional athlete.
How can you judge something that you have no knowledge of? The only thing you know about it is what you read through articles that all start at ESPN, which is the network that everybody on here thinks that is out to discredit Clemson for everything they ever do.
I just think it's hilarious. We live in a world full of people who are so miserable with their own lives, that they sit around and judge and tell people what they would do if they were in the pro athletes position. Hahaha
Get paid Nuk. Like JJ Watt said in his interview yesterday, "do what's best for you."

I'm sure Nuk will give you a nice kickback for preemptively taking up for him.
It's good that there are people like you to care.

It happens all the time DSP. Players out perform their contract. Wouldn't you want your contract restructured if you are the only receiving option on your team and you are double teamed and constantly gunned for?
His next play in football could be his last. Can't blame him for wanting to set himself up for life and take care of everyone around him, while he's still 24 and in the prime of his career.
I definitely see what you're saying, I just think it's wrong for front office executives to know that a player is under paid and do nothing about it. If a player doesn't live up to his contract, he is released or traded before that contract expires. But if a player out performs that contract, he's expected to just ride it out and hope that the next contract is bigger.

Hopefully, he can get it back at the end of his career

when he isn't nearly as productive, but they are still paying him mega bucks and they can't get out of the contract. Hope so, but they've probably pissed him off to the point that he won't stay there long enough to allow it to get to that point.

That's not the way pro football contracts work.
Usually, very little of the money is guaranteed.

Haha. Good lord, how many times are you going to go off on this same rant? If it bothers you as much as you make it seem like, why do you get on an internet forum that's full of people's opinions?

"I know it's a message board and you can say whatever you want to, but sometimes I don't understand where people feel like they have the ground to stand on when judging an athlete."
The joy of the interwebs is to be able to to have your voice heard and/or ignored on any and every subject imaginable regardless of personal experience.
My thought on Nuk is that he received some bad advice from his agent or he ignored his agent's advice initially. That being said, you don't know until you try and for NFL players his actions are not unusual. For JJ Watt, the Texans ripped up his initial rookie contract and gave him a new one at the same time (two years remaining) that Nuk is asking - but Watt was the exception to the Texan's rule of not renegotiating unitl one year left. So I guess Nuk knows he is no JJ Watt in the Texan's eyes.
Lastly, if we used the rule of no one having any ground to stand on without having walked in someone else's shoes - then Twitter and much of the rest of social networking would be essentially silent. As it is now, most people don't contribute anything new to the conversation. Just like this post I am making. I just gave an opionion and regurgitated something someone else wrote about.

I think he got great advice from his agent

He's probably been trying to get his contract restructured all summer and been stonewalled by the team.
By holding out for one day he lost comparatively little money and used public opinion to force the Texans to sit down at the negotiation table. He'll get all of the money due to him in his current contract AND get a restructured deal.

Good points. Easy to tell the less then 6 figure drones from the disposable incomes.
