Everything he has done for Clemson football is enough for me to think he certainly deserves the chance to fix the problems. There are a lot. But if some got there way and he is canned at the end of the year, that doesn't exactly give his replacement a good deal of confidence about his time here. It also would show a shocking knee jerk reaction to one bad season in 16. I know it's frustrating ( god knows, I know) but big picture he needs to be given the opportunity to make changes. Probably very many changes.

It even with some problems we won 10 or 11 games 4 out of 5 years. Would rather be a coot having never won anything but 1 ACC title in the 70’s.
Many people do not realize how well off they are until it’s too late. Replace Dabo and I feel that will be the case for many Clemson fans.
Look back to when the problems started. When NIL and the TP were implemented. It’s about the time Dabo’s Ace was lost. The mom’s of these kids. Kids who wanted to play for Dabo, how special a Clemson offer was before Greed took over college football.
It will be interesting to see the 5 year success of these teams built through the portal. Dabo may prove fans wrong. Remaining strong in his beliefs and the culture he established at Clemson wins out over the current chaos driving college
I strongly and sincerely believe in Dabo. I believe he is the Head Coach that can fix the situation at Clemson and is the right HC at the right School. He will need fans support and for fans to believe that he is still the best guy to lead Clemson’s football program 🐅🐅🐅

Look I get it. But when 9-3 is as bad a record the teams have had, hard to say they were bad seasons. I agree there have been problems and that this has been a steady creep. I'm just saying that firing the man without giving him a full chance is to address them is horrible. Besides there's no guarantee the next guy will be the savior. As the old adage states, careful what you wish for, you might just get it.

but his hand must be forced by AD/BOT/whatever.......b/c it's been 5 years of decline.
We've heard "Dabo deserves a chance to fix it" since the 2021 season.........in an era of where simple quick turnarounds of CFB teams are everywhere how can Dabo not have fixed it already?

Because of maybe his biggest most glaring flaw. Loyalty to a fault. It's this loyalty that has kept him from the portal (and stubbornness). My bet and fervent hope, frankly , is there are a minimum of a dozen transfers this offseason combined with more than a cursory asst coaching overhaul. Not to mention the strength and conditioning needs to be addressed.

Hello McFly....it's simple we went from 2 elite QBs to 2 average Joe's. He's got to make sure we get a proven stud in the portal because we don't have one on campus or committed right now.

Maybe DJ Lagway when he transfers after Napier is let go? I agree that transfer portal QB needs to be a priority for next year.

Dabo needs to attack the transfer postal like a madman if he going to bring Clemson back to national prominence again. Otherwise, he WILL end up like Mike Gundy in a few years. His coaching philosophy is not suited for today’s big-time college football.

It doesn't matter if he goes buck wild in the transfer portal if the position coaches aren't coaching them right. Portal might doesn't always make it right!!!

You can"t say that we don't have a stud at qb on the roster if everyone isn't given a chance or there hasn't been an opportunity to play. I've gotten pretty good at pointing out who I feel the next star will be and I honestly believe that Denson will be a good one. I liked what I saw from him during the spring game. And you can't just say someone is going to be a stud based on their stars from high school. We've had plenty of 3rd stringers that just needed a chance. Prime example...Wayne Gallman. It took injuries to the rbs in front of him before he saw significant playing time. After that the Wayne Train was born. Just because you personally don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

How do you know ??? Are you in the coaches and players meetings ???
IMO it clear that Greed created by NIL, Revenue Sharing, the TP and those idiots at the NCAA office grant kids 5, 6 or 7 years. I believe one kid from Syracuse was in his 8th or 9th year. The NCAA needs to go. Back to the 5 year rule and forcing players to sit a seasywhen they transfer. NIL, and the TP has made a lot of players soft.
What do many of them have to work for if they are being paid before they earn the 💰💰💰💰

I don't disagree but as the other poster said its been coming several years. We were extremely lucky to get in the CFP. Back to back home losses to the coots. Lucky to win ACCCG after fritering away a nice lead.
It reminds me of Leggett. Couldnt ever turn it around once it started slipping. I hope that wont be Dabo but who knows.

I think the scary part is he’s tried to make changes over the last five years. He’s fired and multiple coaches to fix the problems. So here we are in 2025. New defensive coordinator, and offensive coordinator that took TCU to a national championship, one of the best offensive line coaches in the game, Nick Eason, and Chris Rumph. We’ve continued to get worse.
At this point, you have to ask yourself is it the assistant coaches or Head man pulling all the strings? There is something deeply wrong with the core of this program.
So my question is what kind of changes could he make? He would have to make massive fundamental changes to how the program is being run. Will he do it? I really doubt it. Has he earned the right to try absolutely. I just think we’re going to be in a funk for a few years until he decides it’s time to move on.

And I guess you would fire Dabo, hire a new coach, three years from now fire that one, hire a new one, rinse and repeat for the next 20 years like so many schools have done. Once again, careful what you wish for. Also it's hardly grace not firing a coach because 9-3 wasn't pretty enough.
