We have better athletes than Cal (outside of their QB, who I think is the real deal). No reason we can't replicate what they did. Their QB appears very slow-footed and is surprisingly slow to make his reads, which is unusual for a Brohm-coached QB. Advantage Clemson defense.

I was thinking the same. Basically do the same thing we did against FSU and commit to stopping the run and hope the backend can hold.

We'll likely need to score 30-40 to win this game.

It will depend on them getting Brown back at RB. He was out for the Cal game. Dude killed us last year.

Yeah, I really don't expect him back. After the va tech game, coach said he'd be out for a while. His back-up, Duke?? Looked like crap against cal. They didn't give him many carriers after the first half.

Anyway, that does hurt them. I'm with RB and feel good about the game. I don't think we have to score as much as some think. Same plan as fsu. Exactly why I felt we'd win comfortably against fsu. Make the qb beat you with his arm. Just keep showing him the 6 or 7 man front and he'll wilt. Jmo

Clemson will not have to worry as much on containment of the QB as they did against FSU. Moss is not nearly as mobile. Stay aggressive with the pressure and force Louisville to play behind the chains. Offensively, Cade will put up some numbers through the air, and the combo of Randall and Davidson has given this offense a shot in the arm. Tigers race the Cards to get back to .500. 30-20

There were a number of occasions where they lost contain and got beat deep. Thankfully, the FSU QB didn't connect on those deep balls. The FSU receivers also had a case of the drops which helped. Some days it's better to be lucky than good, and I'll happily take it.

No doubt about it - I cringed every time we had a bust and someone was running wild open downfield with no one around them. Can't depend on WRs to drop passes like that or QBs to overthrow every time. Hope we can minimize that Friday because if we do we can sneak out with a W.

Exactly. FSU gave us that one. Louisville and their coach will not be so kind. We will have to play better to beat Louisville. Their coach makes good adjustments.
