Buckner would be an absolute coup… NFL pedigree, big personality, DT is his bread & butter (to compliment Coach Ski at DE), and most importantly: he’s a Clemson man, so the passion for the program is already there

Buckner was a fearless leader on the field. I believe he played for West. I remember him in the peach bowl against LSU. We lost 10-7 but he was a beast and stuffed the LSU RB on fourth down from the 2 yard line.

in the league as a player and as a coach as Buckner. Also, has been in the college game for a year at Auburn so that is a plus. Has already been working some of our core area.

Bowers is a Dabo guy, unlike the other two, but I don’t think he has the pedigree quite yet. Maybe one day. This is a critical hire. The one constant over the last decade has been great DL play. It’s what has separated us from the rest of the ACC (elite QB play obviously being the other factor, but I believe we will soon have that again with Klubnik).
I expect this to be a home run hire.

I would agree with the first two. Not saying Bowers wouldn't make a great coach just sometimes it seemed he would be absent for games and effort was missing.
