This guy has checked out. Fire him for insubordination when he is told to use the revenue sharing money to sign at least 15 transfers from the portal and he refuses

I’m thinking he’s checked out too. Will be absolutely shocked if he does anything other than get rid of Riley.

Do any of the combined 3 brain cells above actually think that Swinney doesn't care? That's your complaint? Judge his choices all you want, but saying he doesnt care just shows how little you understand about operating athletics.

He has made major changes in the past, and he will in the future. Any well funded school can pick off our prospects! When they the want an individual player, the other school just makes a HIGH offer. The kids that are not all in at Clemson will leave. We just have to keep moving forward. Amazing to see how little it takes to flip someone that is money motivated.
That is not Dabo’s fault. Look at Tennessee, they lost a stupid starting QB chasing a shadow. Happens much more at other schools. That is not our problem, but it is disappointing. Our problem is coaching and motivation. Dabo will get it right, but it is painful now.
Go Tigers, 🐅 Beat Dook!

I hope he never uses the transfer portal again. I think it is hilarious to see grown men and women think that it’s completely okay for universities to pay players any amount of money to these kids. Scholarship is payment and there shouldn’t be anything more. Who cares about wins and losses? This is a bunch of KIDS playing a GAME!!!! I was hoping Dabo could do it the right way and win a championship without using the portal to prove the world wrong. This goes wayyyy beyond football…. Like the word commitment. If kids don’t know what the word commitment means do you think they will know what it means in marriage, or the work force, or any other part of their life? I hope Dabo does what he has always done which is to try to create successful men. At the end of the day it’s just a bunch of kids playing a game and it has zero impact on my life.

You sound like an idiot. “Who cares about wins and losses?” Why’s he making 11 million a year then? Why not scrap the entire program? Weird shythead.

Let’s say you are at a job. You have worked there for years and had a good result. You have made the corporation tons of money, 10s of millions. You don’t get a raise. Another job comes open and they offer you more money. Are you staying with your “commitment” or are you looking to grow and provide for your family? His way is dead. If he doesn’t agree, he needs to go work at a YMCA and give up his $11 million gig. He had no problem demanding and accepting more money along the way.

How can you be ok with Dabo making $11MM and turn around and say the kids can’t profit off their own name and talents?
Why is it that capitalism is suddenly a problem when it comes to the athletes (but not everyone else) in college?

I've been vocal with the criticisms of the current state of the program but Goodness, what do we want him to say???
1. We are doomed without a 270 lb DT? 2. We got outbid??? 3. The ship is sinking fast, jump off while you can.
His lack of a comment was the best way to say, "the kid is dead to me, I will not say his name or speak of him." without coming out and actually saying it.

Dabo will never have a kid that he has put his trust in to recruit in a “dead to me” catagory. That’s not Dabo. If the kid in the future wanted to come back to Clemson he would welcome him back. That’s Dabo. He loves his players and wants to help them succeed. That will never change. Just like the tells us fans all the time. The trust in what God gives him, always has and always will.

With Players switching schools and the more and more College Football becomes business like it wouldn't surprise me if in the near future some schools will merge to become a "super team".

That is not what he meant. He said he would quit if it became an NFL Model. It still isn't there YET. When it does get there he will leave. He is going to build young men at this program. He pushes academics, health, and growth. Along the way they have won Championships. So far every single class has won a ring except the current freshmen. He graduates more players than any other team Clemson is #1! And he has built a program that works over the last 17 years. He is not going to sell out these kids nor should he! He makes 11 million dollars a year to build young men and win Football games and he has accomplished both! If College Football turns into no education, and only pay for play then he will quit. I don't blame him!

Eeyore, please hush those negative vibes. If you think you'll lose, you have already lost. That's not the way winners think. One of many reasons I love and support Dabo. This is not the time to sell Dabo stock.

What I never understood is that if most of your NIL / Revenue Share money is going towards the retainment of current players, eventually you’re not going to get good talent coming in (if money is a deciding factor)… as the existing high profile “good” players graduate or enter the draft, your overall talent level decreases.
That strategy may have worked for the first few several cycles of NIL, but eventually you’re left with putting most of the money towards retaining average players because the good to great players are going elsewhere out of high school.

Sadly in today's landscape of college football Dabo is no longer bulletproof . If this continues he will be gone within the next 2 1/2 years. I hope it doesn't happen but if he keeps being hardheaded about adapting well you know the old saying "" Get in, get out, or get run over"

It is also smart to not discuss specific decommitments even via oblique references. Something like ‘we lost a DE, DT, and DB from among our recruiting class.’
There is no benefit to the program for Dabo to satisfy those ‘inquiring minds want to know’ fans.

Well yeah, he’s holding back something .. the truth or the reality on where we are and how he got us to this point. He realizes the sales pitches have grown stale …it’s like a preacher on the pulpit delivering his message to the congregation - that he himself no longer believes

To be candid, I am sort of at a loss when he says, "they do a lot of similar things that we do from a disguise standpoint". Ummm...how exactly have we disguised our defense, again?
You mean when we make them think we are going to do something exotic like stunt or slant and then don't...and kind of do nothing up front and just, well, stay out of their backfield?
Man, I hope so, because pretty much everyone's offense has worked against us so far.
That includes Troy's and BC's, so we could use a generous, if not accommodating opposing defense if we're gonna keep up with Mensah.
