I don’t disagree. Another coach to keep an eye on for the next couple years is Willie Simmons, he successfully rebuilt Florida A&M into a HBCU powerhouse, and is now trying to rebuild FIU

In his first season at FIU, they’re 5-5, they haven’t won that many games in a season since 2019. Definitely a coach to keep an eye on

SocMan2, this is not directed towards you or any other Clemson fans or Alumni.
Many who live in Virginia IMO lack competent judgment if they are ignorant enough to elect as their next AG Jay Jones, a nut job. His post on X should be considered as threats. Example of one of his post (that he fantasized about murdering Republican Lawmakers, their families including children) cannot be smart enough to know that have a really good Head Coach in Tony Elliott at Virginia. Maybe Tony’s moral values, character and integrity do not align with many of those who live in Virginia !
How quickly do you think it would take for the police to arrest one of us if we had posted all of the threats that Jay Jones has posted on X. I feel sure we would also be accused of having mental health issues.
If Virginia does not want Tony Elliott as their Head Coach then maybe they deserve Hugh Freeze or Brian Kelly.
Tony Elliott I believe has a very successful future ahead of him.
New AG for Virginia Jay Jones additional text messages he sent;
“ According to National Review, which first reported the texts Friday, Jones was musing about Gilbert and other Republicans in the wake of the death of Democratic long-serving state politician Joe Johnson Jr, saying he would “#### on their graves” if they died before him.

He is having a very good season, but he has done nothing in terms of sustained success to suggest that he can build and maintain an elite program.

Elliot inherited a terrible situation at UVA I. Terms of facilities and commitment to winning football. He put the foundation in place to correct that, then they faced a major setback with the tragic shooting. It looks like he has them on a great trajectory. Next year will tell how much of this years success was based on Chandler Morris having a great year.
If you downplay his success, you either have an agenda not based in reality or you don’t know ball.

Elliott would have a better chance sustaining success at a place like Clemson. He would have tradition and resources that he doesn't have at UVA.

UVA is not a special team as far as talent. They play a puppy-soft schedule. Despite that, UVA has won big this year. They are the surest bet to make ACC Championship game (sad sack VA Tech is their final ACC opponent - game is in Charlottesville). Their only ACC schedule loss is to Wake. (Their early season loss to NC State was not a formal ACC Conference game.)
UVA is a great bet to win 10 regular season games.
To massacre that old Larry the Cable Guy line, I don’t care who you are, Tony Elliott did a great job this year.

So do the coots ! But it’s how you use the resources can have a huge impact on success or failure.
With all that Tony has had to overcome I believe he has done an incredible job. Especially for a program that needed 28 or 29 years to finally beat Clemson.

I know he's had a good season - but it seems kind of flukey doesn't it? I'm expecting him to return to 6-6 next year.
I think he was granted extra time at UVA for having to navigate those shootings a few years back. Why he handled very well...
