"But at some point, that grant of rights could be challenged in court, especially if the revenue gap continues to grow with no relief in sight."
If there is a case then, there is one now...why wait.
ACC is toast - watch.

I think you're correct that it's way more than $120 million. My guesstimate is between $300 and $500 million due to the loss of TV rights from GOR.

He is right. If there gets to be more disparity than already is then ACC football will fall further behind. ACC commish has got to try to bring ND on board along with a couple other notables. Then we need a new tv contract. Would be great if that happens that NBC that backs ND would back the ACC.

The ACC and ESPN should be in the ear of Oregon, Washington, Cal and Stanford with the PAC struggling to get a new contract. Then if you get Notre Dame's rival Stanford in they might stand a better chance of a football membership with ND too.

Yeah and if FSU, Miami, and VT were worth a #### in football we probably would have a much better TV deal.

He is correct and the Swofford deal is a disaster. He wanted a network so bad he sold the whole ACC to the devil. Someone is going to have to figure out how to blow up the grant of rights or leave and sue.

I don't think ACC revenue was helped by the years that one of FSU's hundred football fans brought library books to the stadium.

wind up in one of two places or both: Congress and/or the Supreme Court.
Too much money involved; too many politicians involved with too many P5 brands.
I'm thinking an eventual north, south, east, west model of 16 to 20 member schools each; the rest in a tiers 2, 3, maybe 4 level, with each having its own national playoffs.
AND a congressional or court ordered even payoff of tv rights to each P4. If it goes to a 20-team plan, then each division would have to accept one or more schools not in the current P5's.
For example, a South Division may consist of Arkansas, LSU, LA Tech, Tulane, Ole Miss, Miss State, Bama, Auburn, FSU, Miami, Florida, UCF, USF, UGA, GT, Carolina, Clemson, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Memphis. East Division: UNC, NC State, Wake, Duke, East Caro, WCU, VT, UVA, Richmond, WVU, Marshall, MD, Rutgers, UConn, BC, Syracuse, Navy, Penn State, Pitt, and UMass. North Division: Ohio State, Cincinnati, Akron, Michigan. Michigan State, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois, ND, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Kansas, K State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State. West Division: Texas, TAMU, TCU, Baylor, Texas Tech, Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Boise State, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Southern Cal, Stanford, California, San Diego, Utah, and Hawaii.
Others would participate in Levels 2, 3, maybe 4, divided geographically.
Each of the top P4's would have a playoff for its conference title: north, south, east, west divisions. The four would play for the national title on a rotating pattern.

I think the remaining top 20 non SEC/B10 FB TV schools from ACC/Big 12/PAC 12 /ND need to form a 20 Team coast to coast Conf and get their own TV Deal. Per 2021 viewership here are the 20 schools in geographic order with viewership numbers that should form the conf:
Top 20 TV Viewers non SEC/BIG10
Miami (1.503M) Florida State (2.23M) Clemson (2.67M) North Carolina (749K) NC State (703K) Virginia Tech (1.26M) West Virginia (1.27M) Pittsburgh (781K) Louisville (1.22M) Notre Dame (3.61M) Iowa State (747K) Oklahoma State (1.64M) TCU (1.495M) Baylor (1.12M) Texas Tech (921K) Utah (856K) Stanford (1.43M) Oregon (1.34M) Washington (1.32M) Washington State (909K)
