bottom line, to win football games, you have to beat the guy in front of you. Last night, the fact our running game posed ZERO threat, whether it was playcalling, poor blocking, a lack of ability at RB, or a combination of all of those, was at the root of all the problems we had. If we can't run the ball, then the defense knows we have to throw, and they can tee of on the QB and he doesn't have a chance. I don't think Pruitt is any kind of genius, I just think we have issues with our running game at this point, and I think last night it was largely due to personnel and execution.

running backs either couldn't hit them or were pulled down by arm tackles. Too much hesitation by our backs and a lack of lower body strength to power through arm tackles.
I understand Morris's conservative playcalling with so much inexperience in a hostile environment. Not having a running game limits what you can call, especially when your backs are against your own endzone.
We need to spend the next three weeks getting our young running backs more reps and ready to play.
