But I have not noticed any difference in my "prosperity" based on who is President. If you added up my bank accounts, plus property value, minus debts, then I'd say that number is higher now than it has been at any point in my life.
I admit I do not really ever look at my 401(k), so I don't know how that has changed.
And that's leaving aside the question of whether "prosperity" is actually tied to dollar figures. (Narrator: "It's not.")

The 401(k)s always go up in the long run. So at my stage in life, it's rather irrelevant.
There are many reasons that if I were older, or my life circumstances were different in some other way, then the current economic conditions would be more impactful to me.

In terms of fiscal policy, I vote for candidates who are generally in favor of lower government spending, lower taxes, and economic liberty. I think in the long run, these are the right positions for a good economy.
