And unless you have a hotel room or RV or buddy nearby it's hale to drive the 1-5 hours back home, isn't it.
Done my share of it especially in the 80's driving with family of 4 back to Charlotte when an 8pm game meant a big opponent and/or major tv coverage or both.
What thinks you and are you home, safe?

We just get a hotel room in Powdersville or Simpsonville. Not a bad drive to either and rooms are affordable

I'll go to the game no matter what time it is BUT I will say I'm not a fan of games that late at night when attending,6 or 7:00 yes but not 8 and later.I did not get back home until 2:30 and that can be tough driving that late at night.Luckily I only had 2 hours back to home #2 vs 4.5 hours back to home #1.

I recall o e of the ACCCGs in Charlotte. Decided to drive home, 2.5 hours, after the game. Got home about 4:00 AM. Never again

We lived in Asheville from 2013-2019. 8:00 games usually meant getting home between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. Only really struggled to stay awake once but those were some REALLY long days.

Does not matter if they are noon games or night games, there will be some cussing behind the wheel in the wee hours of the morning. Only thing that changes is whether it is Saturday or Sunday morning.
