We should get a bigger chunk of the revenue than either of them. Same with the Big 12 chumps.

with his position.
It seems to me that he, the BOT, the advisory committee may have a better plan than jumping ship right now.
As far as I'm concerned (see NYT graph below) we are the prettiest girl at this dance and should choose our dance partner.

Do you honestly believe Auburn has more fans that Bama? That Penn State has a bigger fan base that Texas? That list is questionable at best.

TCU's Amon Carter Stadium seats approximately 44,000 while Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium seats approximately 50,000 but at least they generally fill them up as opposed to Duke (34,000) and Wake (31,500) who are frequently well below capacity.

do we wanna travel half way across the country when we can get 65k at uva vs vpi, 55k at unc vs ncst, 56k at gt vs cu, just an hour an a half down the road.
just throwing out some info biggie, something for everyone to chew on.
and your 2 examples are a few hours drive not time zones away.

I'd rather see Clemson play Baylor or TCU any day than Duke and Wake. TCU fans traveled from Texas much better than Duke, Wake, UVa and BC fans.
Besides, if the Big XII expands to fourteen teams as some have speculated in order to form a true Eastern Division, we will only have two opponents form the Western Division each year.

So they averaged 12,000 more than ACC with only 10 teams.

Greetings, Tiger fans.
TCU's new stadium seats 45k, and has at least 5k standing-room only spots (maybe more).
The new structure has the ability to "quickly" expand to 50k seats (by adding a cantilevered deck on the visitors side).
This would make capacity 55k+.
Keep in mind, TCU has completely sold out the entire stadium already, just from season ticket renewals. These weren't seats gobbled up by opposing fans or ticket brokers, because they didn't have a chance to buy them.
TCU's attendance issues in the past have been due to low-draw opponents and getting 1k or less visiting fans. Trust me, attendance will not be an issue for us, Baylor, Tech, or any other Big 12 program.
And really, the issue shouldn't be about how many fans or seats there are...the point would be all of the hype and media attention that would be generated by teams like FSU and Clemson coming to play in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex...not to mention the recruiting gains.
By the way, even though the weather wasn't great, I have to say the road trip to Clemson was the second best away game I have ever experienced (Boise State last year was the best). You guys were all awesome hosts and fans, and it was a privilege to get to play there. I really hope we are able to make it a recurring thing.

I know. Just wanted to make sure everyone has updated info. TCU would have jumped at a chance to join the ACC, but it looks like you boys are going to have to come our way.
If this thing goes to 16, it would be awesome if Clemson, FSU, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, NC-State would just all vote/agree to defect as one big block into the Big 12/16.
That way, with an East Division, you would all still be together (plus West Virginia and Iowa State), and could keep all of your historic rivalries in tact.
The SEC could take North Carolina and Miami or Duke.
The B10 could take Notre Dame, Maryland, Pitt, and Rutgers.
Clean break for everyone...except Syracuse and BC. They could join the Big East or something.

we still may be able to extort the ACC for a revenue sharing agreement which will pay more than your conference is offering.
If this is just a money thing like everyone believe then you can understand our position.

Also, TCU's capacity was reduced to 30k in 2011 due to stadium construction.
