but I have been plowing thru Bill Bryson's books.

A Walk in the Woods is a good start, but One Summer: America, 1927 is really good.

Bryson gives you facts while telling a story. And humor added in.

I have them on audio. There are only a couple that he did not do and I am listening to them now.

The only book that I did not like was the one on his trip around USA. He constantly complained about his dad not shelling out $$$ on vacation and in the next paragraph complained about the cost of any similar experience. I think this was 1987 timeframe, but did not go in the Biltmore house as the price was too high. LOL.
