Which was more pathetic - Clemson's defense in the 2011 OB

or LSU's offense in their bowl game? They only had 92 yards of TOTAL offense and crossed mid-field only once.
An LSU friend-o-mine was giving me grief about our OB showing. I told him I thought their "92" was just as bad as our "70".

Our opponent has repeated the 70 performance since then. Has Bama only allowed 92 total yards to anyone this season? If not then theirs should be considered worse IMO.

get their 3rd first down until the game was basically over. That tells me - if first downs were touchdowns for LSU, they still would have lost! (Only 2 first downs until the game was already decided.)

As a "coot" I prefer to just browse and see what is going on.
As far as it being a record, I don't think so. There were 2 Cotton Bowls where a team was limited to one 1st down the entire game.

I apologize, I missed the BCS part. And to be fair, both of those Cotton Bowls were in the 40's.
As far as the second part, while it was great for Clemson to get to a BCS game, that game will live in infamy for awhile.
