This Clemson team can not run the football. We've haven't been able to for about a month and a half now (aside from Cade QB runs and scrambles, but he fumbles a lot). Our OL is tremendous in Pass Pro (maybe the best in the country), but I think they clearly struggle in run blocking. This game will be about strength on strength. Can we still pass the ball against TX's #1 pass defense? If we can't, we will lose and certainly not score very many points. We have to be creative in the run game and not just do the straight hand offs to Mafah. I'd love to see more draw plays, counters, bootlegs, and some wildcat to manufacturer a run game, but we haven't done that all year. Hard to see us do it now even though I think that needs to be implemented in our Offensive game plan for the playoffs if we truly want to make a run.
Cade's got to throw the ball 45-50 times and have success if we have a chance of winning IMO.

Texas has played 3 offenses that rank inside the top 50 nationally in offense.
5 of their 12 opponents don’t even rank inside the top 100 offensively.
Do they have talent? Of course.
Have they been challenged with a passing attack as good as Clemsons this year? Absolutely not.

Our offensive line will put under a great amount of pressure. I don’t think they can hold up against the Texas front 7. We’re going to have to challenge them vertically and giving Cade enough time to do that will be challenging.
