I don't know if I'm alone......

.......but I see people posting about watching this college baseball game or that one and I don't know, for me it's over. Clemson's out, I'm out. It's like OCD with me. I can't make myself care about the rest of the post season. I'm not judging those that continue on but I am wondering if there are others like me out there? This isn't just baseball, it's football and basketball. I'll watch until the very last Clemson game but after that I could care less what any other team does. It's that much worse for me when it comes when you least expect it for obvious reasons. The baseball regional was gut wrenching, I don't know how some of you continue watching but God bless you.

I can agree, but the Florida baseball game was fun. And it was nice to see the Oklahoma softball team win. Now, I’m done too.

Brett, sorry about that.I forgot they beat FSU. The Noles were also very good this year. Oklahoma has an amazing softball program. However, we do too.

I enjoy college baseball so I will likely keep checking on progress and watching. Those boys in Omaha get after it and I cant wait to see ours back there.

Same. Used to watch football until end but didn’t care this year after we were finished.

I haven't watched a full game since the Tigers lost, but I surfed through the channels to the FL and UofSC super from time to time checking in on the score. It was good therapy to see the Coots get swept. Afterall, a loss by the Coots is the next best thing to a Tiger win.
Now I'll probably do the same for So. Mississippi and TN.

Good points - and post. I, too, was once as emotionally invested as you. ‘My team’ losing was gut wrenching and depressing to me FOR DAYS!
While I never played school sports after high school, I did compete in rec, industrial, military, church and neighborhood leagues for 30 or so years, playing basketball, softball, and ALTA tennis in Atlanta (until my body just couldn’t do it any longer). While I did play on quite a few winning teams and won a box or two full of trophies, there was a LOT of losing, and dare I say some extremely crushing losses in championship games and matches throughout the years. This also included the teams I ‘followed’ (my Tigers, the Cowboys, the Braves, the Celtics).
But after 69 years and a LOT of personally applied mental and emotional ‘sports psychology/therapy’ - especially after those gut wrenching losses - I have finally gotten to a point where I can move on and just enjoy watching the sports I so love - and loved to play - in spite of the fact that ‘my team’ has been eliminated.
But it did take a lot of time, imo.
Good luck with your ‘condition’!

Sometimes I do that. Duke and UVA have a good series going now. I'm hoping Wake can win it all though. I'll follow those 3 and then I'm out.

Same for me. Wake is pounding AL. I'll "follow."

But that means I'll tune in for a couple of innings at a time. And maybe not until the later innings.
