Trump needs to review one of those pocket copies

Of the Constitution to understand who has control of spending decisions. Congress has control of the purse.
I know he hates to read, but it’s really not that long. His lackies w/no spine in Congress need to check their pocket copies as well.

The blanket shutdown of all funding and the birthright citizenship thing.
Most of what he's doing he can do. But he is overstepping at times.
Appears to be very similar to Elon moves when he took over Twitter.

I am sure he hasn't. With his job he obviously should. I haven't read the Constitution within the last 30 years. I wonder how many people that talk about the Constitution all of the time actually really know much about what it states. You always saw people at Trump rallies talking about the Constitution getting kicked by Jordan Klepper when quizzed. They didn't really know anything about it. It's just a buzz term at this stage to act informed.

It’s refreshing to know democrats care about having a president well read in the Bible.

Well, Trump says it is his favorite book, so we are fascinated. He is the one who got people in interested in what he knows about it.

50% vote in Congress - which he can probably get.
I didn't like this "exception to the rule" when The Dems used it and I won't like it when The Pubs use it.

They don’t. He’s mixing up fiscal years with calendar years.

It's a timing game to get two bites from the reconcilliation apple this year

"Typically, budget resolutions are approved in advance of the upcoming fiscal year (a fiscal year 2025 budget resolution would be approved during calendar year 2024, for example). Importantly, a budget resolution for FY 2025 (which begins October 1, 2024) has not been considered by Congress this year. However, Congress may approve a budget resolution at any point during the fiscal year (prior to September 30, 2025), meaning this vehicle will be available to the new Congress taking office in January 2025. The new Congress will also be able to use an FY 2026 budget resolution to create a separate set of reconciliation instructions next year, providing a potential path for two reconciliation exercises in 2025."
Because Republicans do have two reconciliation opportunities in calendar year 2025 - that is why there is some discussion among Republicans and the Trump Administration of avoiding one big reconciliation bill and splitting it up into two separate bills.
