I Broke Down

After saying that I was going to stay home and watch the ACCCG on TV for both economic reasons and also in protest of the ACC's boneheaded decision to move it from Charlotte (111 miles away) to Orlando (536 miles away), I have succumbed to Dabo's plea for fans to show up at Camping World Stadium on Saturday night. My sister, brother-in-law and I are driving down tomorrow night after work and back home Sunday. As quinquagenarians I almost can't believe we're doing this, but duty calls. Can't let down the team. GO TIGERS!

Clemsam, that pretty much hits the nail on the head. I've been a Tiger since I was a youngster, and was a student during the 1981 national championship season. I guess it's age and whatever wisdom I've gained in the years since then, but I have developed a much greater appreciation of the blood, sweat and tears that it has taken for this team of young men and coaches to achieve what they have. I figure I owe them.

Same here. Picking up my son from school in Beaufort and driving down tomorrow . Cheap rooms , cheap gas, and cheaper tickets makes it pretty affordable.
