I am officially done with the NFL

Nov 3, 2021, 9:09 PM

I had no idea it was modern day slavery. I’m so thankful that Collin kapernick enlightened me and I will not stand for anyone being treated that way. The audacity of these white owners paying black, white, and other men from various ethnic groups millions to play a game for half of the year is a travesty and unmistakably racist.

if that clown actually believes the b.s. he puts out there.
Or does he just know that’s the only way he’ll be somewhat famous?

Tragic turn of events

The NFL will have to find the strength to go on without you

I’m just not sure they can. I don’t think they can make it without my personal viewership. It’s worth at least $17 a year.

Re: I am officially done with the NFL

Back in the 1970’s, MLB players #### “Don’t call me Richie” Allen, Curt Flood and Andy Messersmith among others sued for the ability to move between teams when their existing contracts were completed. They used the same language about slavery, freedom and rights, but since the same rules applied to all players regardless of race, no racial discrimination was implied.

That’s how we got our current system of free agency in pro sports.

Seems to me that Kaepernick’s problem isn’t that he is a slave without freedom to choose his employer—it’s the exact opposite. He can’t find any employer that wants him. He doesn’t have too little freedom; he has too much. His economic status is no different from a musical artist: no matter how good a musician someone is, they have to find their niche in the marketplace or no one will buy their product, and their talents will be wasted. Well, those few “slave owners” who could use his skills have determined, just like Henry Ruggs III for different reasons, that he brings more negatives than positives to his place of employment, and apparently he doesn’t want to try baseball. Too bad. Manfred would make sure someone signed him to a minor league deal, right?

Slaves would have loved to have had the opportunity that CK has. He is a fool, and he disrespects his heritage, too.

Stupid people keep paying him so you will continue to hear his lies. It is his only source of income.

You see the irony in holding kapernick against the NFL given he was blacklisted by the NFL and sued the NFL over it. IMHO that would be like a company firing an employee and continuing to hold said employees statements against the company years later....

Well I guess he wants to be a slave to complete the experience because he still wants to play in the NFL. Sorry Crapperdick you just aren't good enough to be a slave.

rejected Tim Tebow from playing in the NFL b/c he brought too much attention to his faith. The stories of Kap and Tebow aren't that different. One we still talk about as a travesty the other we could care less... One story sells air time on TV the other usually causes sponsors to threaten to withhold support..
