(I so hope yall don't turn this into a FM post as he is actually an athlete and not a flower).

I took the Clemson Master Gardner courses so can testify in court as an expert.
Viola x wittrockiana growing around the Clemson area is what it is.
People buy beautiful specimens "too soon" in late Summer from a greenhouse, and they look like crap over most of the Winter.

Near Spring as the weather warms they look great, and will last into June if not in direct Sun.

The deal is in Spring folks rip them out to plant Inpatients "too soon".

I get the mixture of the pansies and snapdragons and it makes for a beautiful array of colors until late June. Quit blooming just in time for my lantana to take it over and bloom.
