but maybe not for the reason you might think. With some of our starters under-performing in the first 2 games, it gave us a chance to see some of our younger players and up and comers get some reps. Tomorrow's game should afford us more of the same.
As the coaches get an opportunity to evaluate this talent, they are beginning to see they have more options than perhaps they originally thought. Also, by giving our young bucks more opportunities, it creates competition that should raise everyone's game. Right now, I don't think any starter should be comfortable and should have to earn their starting positions week to week.
I'm optimistic that we will start to gel on both sides of the ball as our cream rises to the top. I'm not sure when we hit maximum production, and settle in on a steady starting lineup, which makes it hard to project how many wins we can expect, but I like that we have this evaluation period to identify who we can trust going forward.
As I've mentioned in other posts, I felt this year would be the set up year for a real playoff run next year. This is the year we learn and grow and next year is the year we put it all together.
Go Tigers!

We're getting over 85 snaps per game so far. Another 85

in this game and we're over 250 snaps in 3 games. Hopefully, that speeds Cade's development(along with the youngsters and everybody else). If he can calm down, see the field and pull the trigger to the open man, we are going to see a big jump in offensive efficiency and production no matter who is on the field.

I agree. The only thing we don't know is how we will perform against a Top 5 team with a lot more to offer in terms of competition. But, we don't have to wait much longer to find out.

to start the game, trailing 14-10 at the end of the 1st quarter, and missed a chip shot field goal on their 3rd drive from the LSU 6 yard line. Grambling finished with 29 carries for 163 yards and 5.6 yards per carry. FSU had 34 carries for 135 yards against LSU.

I don't think FSU is quite as good as people want to believe, and I don't think Clemson is quite as bad as people want them to be.

That guy has been hyped up over the years as a brilliant coach.
And he seems to be a real dirt bag.

Tomorrow is the most important game of the year

and also most exciting.
FAU is not the same cakewalk as last week with CSU.
The exciting part is expecting/hoping to see improvement everywhere, but especially on offense with the LOS. Next week we will have to win the LOS or it will be a long game.
What I am hopeful for is that we get plenty of work for the starters and the 2nd team as well. We have some positions that the young guys are very good. They may be ready to contribute right away. This will challenge those starters and provide a spark or maybe there will be changes made. Clemson always plays/rotates players so starting isn't everything, but the best player needs to be on the field to begin regardless of freshman/sophomre/junior/senior/grad.
Every weekend is exciting when our Tigers play. Go Tigers!!

FSU has star power but not a lot of depth. If we can hold off the initial surge. we can pull away from them.

It all comes down to execution of game plans. Our Tigers need to be crisp and play much more mistake free football. Turnovers against FSU will spell defeat unless we can turn them over equally or more!
