Hunter is THE BEST backup QB in the country

Check out his Spring game. He had a couple of passes that went off but he was on the money most all of the chances he got. He would start for a bunch of other D1 programs, but his heart has always been in Tigertown. Go TIGERS BEAT EM ALL!

As much as I like ur optimistic view, I don't think I'm ready to name our 3rd or 4th qb top backup in college football. I will say I liked his poise down the stretch of several games 2yrs ago but he didn't get many opportunities last year. That surprised me considering our qb struggles and his somewhat proven game experience. I figured he would get a few more drives atleast. He's competitive, people counted Joe Burrow out before they won the championship. Never say never. I'm excited for Cade & then Vizzy next yr. I guess we'll start with DJ and see who comes to play, his freshman or sophomore self. Regardless who plays qb we're gonna be back to form. Defense is gonna be fun to watch!!! Go Tigers!!!

If Hunter Johnson can find his Freshman magic back at Clemson, he could be the surprise of the year as a backup! Regardless, we have the talent in the QB room this year to win ?? The coaching staff must play the best QB every game. I hope DJ5 comes through big time!
Go Tigers, Wreck Tech!

Based on last year, hunter might be wayyyyyy better than DjU. I hope if DJ plays just as bad this year that he is benched. Give other guys a chance.
On the other hand, if DJ plays decent then awesome. Happy for him. But don't ruin the season just to give 1 player too many chances. That's overkill.

For brain dead people saying that Arch is overrated, he gets to be around that kind of coaching pretty regularly.

Nice story.
I thought he has looked good the few times he's gotten action. I also thought he looked way more comfortable at game speed than Taisun did, so was surprised he didn't get more of a chance last season.
Is he on scholarship now? I've wondered if he was a guy who would use the portal to try to get some game time in at a smaller school.
And speaking of the portal, has Taisun signed on with anyone? Thought he might come back to UConn, like his brother.
