How is Auburn Getting love?

Why is everyone giving Auburn a great chance against us they are not ranked, and we are #14 in BCS?

Probably because they are expecting us to "pull a Clemson" as Heather Dinich and company have so "kindly" coined. And they all seem to like to remember and remind us about when we played Alabama in the same venue, in the same situation... I feel like we are the better team, but the outside world likes to hold onto history more than people care to admit.

And Clemson doesn't like to hold onto History more than people care to admit( just pointing it out)?
I hate to say it ,but recent history would suggest more of "pulling a Clemson" then being the better team.!

I was more pointing out that other teams like to call us out for holding onto history (like that record over our little brother to the south) and yet, pretty much every other team in the country likes to hold onto history just as much if not more.

Long answer:
Because Auburn plays in the powerful SEC.
Because the ACC is "supposedly" not as strong as the SEC.
Because the game is being telecast on eSECpn.
Because the BCS is outdated,soon to be shelved by a playoff system devised ,in part by the above mentioned conference( no not the ACC)and therefore the"preseason" ranking is irrelevant.
Because both teams start off with the same record.
Because both teams can coin this a home game;therefore neither team has a homefield advantage.
Because we won't have Sammy( forget Auburn has two starters suspended for this game).
I really can't come up with anything else.Anybody got any suggestions?

So, between that and Auburn not exactly being comprised of one and two star recruits, I can understand why some people are looking at this way.

Who cares? It's meaningless. We just need to win the game. If we earn it, the media will get on the Clemson bandwagon. All these hurt feelings before a live snap is ridiculous.

Auburn has a very very deep defensive line that could be very very good. I think this is the thing that is making some people wonder. That and the talent levels that have been recruited over the past few years.
Pre-season rankings are pretty much worthless.
This game is going to be hard fought. I don't see either team winning convincingly.
I expect it to be a close game with a lot of memorable moments.
