pick in the draft, after next season. Lovie Smith is probably a good man and was a decent assistant coach, but he isn't a good head coach at any place he's been. He ALWAYS gets shown the door for poor performance. But he DOES get to keep the money, so you know, it's hard to feel bad for him.

Pretty sure Lovie took the Chicago Bears to the Super Bowl.

Remember the Rain Bowl in Miami, where Prince and the twins danced in the rain on 6-inch heels at halftime? Peyton Manning's only championship with the Colts?

So Lovie hasn't won a SB, but he's taken a team to one.

B/c at the end of the day, it's about performance. And nothing in his past would suggest he's going turn them into a winning organization.

Secondly, if you're suggesting he was hired based on skin color, and nothing else, there are several other minority hires that would have made more sense.
