I really doubt Dabo will be contacted by texas but if lets say he left I don't think Chad is ready to be a head coach just yet. I still think he needs the time to grow into the college game. I think Clemson is now a very desirable location more so then when Tommy was here. Id like to go after Michigan States head coach or Baylor's head coach. I think we can make a good decision.

Briles isn't leaving the state of Texas and Dantonio is a USC alumnus and won't leave the Midwest (even coach at his alma mater).

Briles isn't leaving unless it was for the Texas job. There's a lot of great coaches out there but a lot of them either are in good jobs or won't leave unless it's for a "huge opening" and Clemson isn't quite that. We would get a good replacement but it would be someone who could grow with the program, I doubt they would go after some big name guy, that being said. I hope Dabo doesn't go anywhere. He is the right guy for the job, despite what some downers seem to think.

I can;t imagine the backlash if word got out in Texas that they even had Dabo on the list. he is just not in the big boy world yet. Great guy, winner at Clemson but Texas, Bama, Southern Cal may be the biggest in college football so it isn;t a knock on him but more reality
However, the people saying Morris isn;t ready to be Clemson head coach lets look at facts. Morris, High School Head Coach for years, OC TUlsa, OC Clemson,
Dabo, Grad Asst, WR Coach, Insurance Sales, WR Coach when Bowden brought him back to coaching, Head Coach at Clemson
Now why was Dabo ready then but Morris isn;t with tons more coaching experience than Dabo had?
It is comments and thought processes like this that make Clemson fans look stupid and ill informed

That's fine, we will keep him. Those Texas fans are spoiled, they think that if they don't get Saban (which they didn't) or spme big-name coach they are screwed. Sometimes you just have to go with the right fit.

Fine by me. The Alabama fans think he will be Sabans replacement in 10 years or so. I disagree, but other teams not having him on their list is fine, I'll keep him here in Clemson.
