They who? The fans, alumni, students and 99% of employees had nothing to do with this. They deserve nothing. Would you feel the same if a few sleeze ball idiots did something as stupid as this at Clemson under wraps?

Another media outlet trying to make more money off of this

Paterno is dead. I still think considering that he only got the story from word of mouth from someone's questionable POV, he did what he thought was best at the time.
But now that the story is dying down, it's yet another opportunity to stick his name on a headline to get some readership.

of the higher up at PSU which indicated they knew the pervert was active. They, according to reports, chose to conceal testimonies from the public and authorities.
That's at least obstruction of justice if not accessories to the fact (means they knew it was an ongoing act).

I find it hard to believe that Paterno would have known how to start up a computer, yet alone write an e-mail.

active via email, which makes sense per the year, & his age / generation. Media outlets made millions off of spinning this story around Paterno, & not Sandusky, or the administrators for not reporting it sooner. Plus, can't help but feel like law enforcement didn't investigate this more thoroughly, since there were alleged accusations & rumors reported some time before it became known to said administrators. LE claimed at the time there wasn't enough concrete evidence?

$$ will make it go away. Penn St. brings in cash. They're too big to fail, so whether good or bad, and there are arguments to both sides, Penn State will be fine after a few years.

At one time I respected Joe Pa as possibly the greatest coach of my time. Once I started to realize how he might be involved, all of that has changed. I now disrespect him more than any other coach of my time.
I am convinced that JoePa knew info and could have stopped things, but chose not to in order to keep the recruits coming to penn state. He wanted to win more games than BB, so he basically helped keep everything secret for 10+ years. THAT IS WRONG!!

There is no way he was as close to Sandusky as he was and knew nothing. Plus we have proof that he was told about events. He knew.

falls apart when you realize he knew and elected to do the minimum he could. tell his boss once he had been told. he did nothing to follow up, push the matter, get authorities to intervene. nothing.
I'm sure ole Jer just up and retired at the peak of his game and never got a HC job. This secret was known. People who could have stopped him including Pa authorities did nothing

I believe many knew earlier - as early as 1998/1999.

That is when Jerry was first 'caught'. They knew him too well. Just like everyone has a relative - the dirty uncle - that you see eyeballing young teen girls. You know that if he had a chance, he would commit a crime. Can't tell me Jerry did not exhibit some 'signs'.
