HJ's int pass was NOT good in any way.

He floated that ball up with no awareness of the situation.

What's your point? He isn't the starter. Let him get the rookie mistakes out of the way when there is nothing on the line.

He doesn't get many chances to pass in mop up duty so he might as well shoot for the stars.

He just misread the safety. If he’d had man coverage without safety help like HJ thought the throw would have been fine, he’ll get better at reading coverage with time.

this was the knock on him coming out of highschool. He had a 2-1 TD to interception ratio. His arm strength is also not elite.

He had a bad play. So? The real question is does he

learn from it and move on. My guess is yes. From what I see he makes quick decisions, usually good decisions. He is young as well. No doubt he has the talent to very good.

I love him.

But you might ought to figure out how to judge the option read he's blowing 75% of the time. We don't run a pro style offense and until we do he's going to have to learn when to keep the ball on that option read. I don't think he's even gotten to the RPO yet.
I'm not dissing the kid because he's one of the best passing guys in the country when the coaches call a pass only play and he can hand the ball off when that is called from the sidelines as well but he's missing out on 40% of our playbook right now.

Too bad Number 75 wasn't playing LT or he would have had a bit more time to set his feet before he threw the ball.
Second String OL
Thanks for playing

Go to the 6 minute mark in the 3rd and KB shows why he struggles to get first downs. Couldn't convert on two 4 down plays. Saved by penalty.

Can’t answer what was in his mind but the pass before to ov, was miscommunication. He thought ov was going to curl back into the route.
On the int ove got rerouted or he makes it to the corner and would/ could have easily outjumped the safety. Would love to hear their explanation. Hope someone asks HJ and overton.
Speaking of which, what happened to Thompson. Had 4 catches in fsu game and has disappeared.

It was a good learning moment for him. Next time he'll put that #### on a rope. It was lazy throw, dumb throw, AND overthrown.

gear he could have caught it or at least made a little effort to break the ball up or tip it away from the receiver. Just saying he didn't help his qb out much there even though it was an ill advised pass.
