My Spiller Story.........

I have never followed recruiting until C.J. Spiller. I started hearing on the internet 5 years ago about Spiller and the possiblity of him coming to Clemson but that he would probably go to a Florida School. I just happened to be home with my 8 month old baby boy because he was sick and couldn't go to his daycare. I was feeding him lunch and listening online to Spiller to make his annoucement. I couldn't believe it becasue while I didn't follow recruiting, I knew enough about it to know that it was unheard of to get such a big-time recruit out from under the 3 big Florida schools. Anyway, when Spiller said Clemson, I let out a big yell and it scared my little boy so bad he started crying. I scooped him up and we danced around the kitchen.
Fast forward a few years and my now 5 year old boy runs through the house with his little 28 shirt strutting his ankle breaking moves on the the furniture or anything else that gets in his way. Occasionally he will shout "CCCCCCC JJJJJJJJJJJJJ SPPPPIIIILLLLEEEERRRR!!!!" as he emulates his favorite player.
I can't believe the ride is almost over.

Very touching nothing better than your son and football relations haha I cannot believe it's almost over either. Just seems like yesterday that I heard of the amazing 5 star from Florida named Clifford Junior.

My son....

Loves CJ SPiller as well. He even calls himself "DJ Spiller". My son was born in August of '05 so all he's ever know is me yelling CJ this or that. He had been after me for months about getting a CU poster and finally I got one of the life size CJ posters and he looks lat it like its some kind of pagan god. My sons room is orange and purple and on one wall is the CJ poster and on the end of his bed is a game worn set of pants and a jersey form a few years back that he tells me often, "Daddy I'm goin to wear that uniform when I get big." Kids are the best!

wake up and you'll have a 16 yr old wanting the keys to the car like i do. Just like Spiller's signing, it seemed only like yesterday when he was running around in his Clemson football uniform wanting to tackle everyone in sight.
