Because 4 or 5 isn’t much of a difference, with 6 if they miss the xp with a TD it’s tied.

However, think the mentality there is up by 6, you force them to make a clean extra point try.

Say they get a TD but the XP fails. XPs aren't automatic.
Six points beats a five point lead.

UK can go for 2 to keep it a 3 pt game.
By getting 2 pts, we can win the game with a FG if they score one more time, even if they go for 2.

Going for 2 means they at least have to kick the extra point to take the lead if they score a td.
