Cal Poly - Fresno St exhibition

Former Clemson player Jake Hedibredee scored 31 it's, which included NINE threes!

Fresno State won by 10.

Clemson rarely misses on these outgoing transfers but my goodness.... 9 threes?!?!?!

Yeah, and Chauncey Wiggins had 16 pts and 11 rebs for FSU in a close exhibition loss to Alabama the other night. You still want him back too?

Clemson has got better defenders than Haidbredder and Wiggins. They will be just fine...

Also if you look at the box score,he played 30 + minutes in an exhibition game and beat a bad Cal Polly team by just 10. The whole point in these games is playing different line ups and give different guys a lot of minutes. Sounds like that's all they got. Link:

I like the kid, but he wasn't good enough to play in the ACC. Plus he was a defensive liability.

I mean Cal Poly has the 300th ranked defense according to Kenpom, so I wouldn’t put too much stock into those stats.

It wasn’t a question of if he had the 3pt skills, he just couldn’t maintain it in the ACC. He’ll be good in the MW, but that’s the highest level he’ll be good at.

Also, this was an exhibition, so stats can be inflated, if he continues over the course of the year then we can revisit to see if it was worth losing him or not.

I wish him the best. It would have been nice if he worked out here. It seemed like he lost confidence, and couldn't hit a 3 to save his life towards the end of the season. That was his role, and it really hurt the team considering we shot so poorly as a team at the end of the year. He finished the last 5 games of the season going 2-15. That included 1-8 in the last 2 losses. Many of those were open good looks.
