I do remember more than once when they lost he would blame someone else, one time he pulled one of the asst. coaches out in front of the tv interview to blame him for the loss. I also know he claims all the glory when they win. He now is having some mental issues because in interviews he can't remember the question and goes into something that was asked the day before. Sad to see this happen to him.

Is on players. If reciever drops a wide open pass in the endzone, is it the coaches fault?

If a coach can give himself a game ball for good execution, he needs to be ready to take the blame for poor execution.

It illustrates two things about Spurrts

1. Egomaniacal narcissist with zero respect for other people. 2. Has very thin , corpse-like skin and will deliver televised adolescent tantrums to avoid personal responsibility in a percieved professional failure.
How anyone on the green earth would try to defend that gruntstain is practically miraculous! He is a lowlife . His success as a fb coach pales in comparison to the shortcomings he presents as a human being. Cooper was well within social acceptability to verbally chastise Spurrier for such a bush league move ...and some would agree that taking a swing at him at that presser would have been understandable. I dislike Steve Spurrier , not just for being a fresh skidmark of a person, but for being so unapologetically so.

Coaching 101

"Is on players. If reciever drops a wide open pass in the endzone, is it the coaches fault?"
If the coach recruits him, trains him, etc yes. To the media the coach should take responsibility, even knowing in advance that these things happen. Or you could just blame your team until your blue in the face and crown yourself the "woulda coulda shoulda" champions. Let players save face, but hold them personally accountable.
You can tell the coaches who are amateur or classless when they play the blame game. IE Spurrier.

lives.
Who cares that you'll never win a championship? Who cares about your no class coach throwing players and coaches under the bus and acting like a temperamental 8 year when things don't go his way? Hey, who cares, right? As long as you have that 115 year anomaly of decent success against Clemson, that makes everything a-okay.

He accused Connor Shaw of having a concussion last year in the LSU game because of his poor play.
He said it in the typical smart ###/douchy trademark Spurrier manner.
