Well boys it's been a long stressful wait, but

I probably won't be getting that job.
A manager at the applebees in the next town over interviewed. She has a bunch of experience and lives in town.
I only live in town.
Which I can live with. If they would have hired the other 2 candidates over me I would have been pissed. But this one I can see.
And after drowning my sorrows into a bottle of EW white label last night I took stock of where I was.
I'm in a good situation. I work with a staff that we all get along (for the most part). I have it really easy where I am. I rarely see the head fry cook.
I have an immediate supervisor who is a massive ####### ####### with a napoleon complex. Doesn't communicate and when #### hits the fan due to his lack of communication, it's somebody else's (usually mine) fault.
But the other bosses up the chain are really good.
So FBCoach will survive.
We will move on.
And we will thrive.

I'm going to start studying Construction Defect Law. Do you mind slipping my business card to the clients when you're done with a job.
Okay, Thanks.

Partner with this guy.....you fix houses, he comes in behind you and fixes your fixes. Over the course of the show, you guys bond, build some Canadian/American relations, you get a little better, he gets a little worse.....great show concept.

1) Build your skillset to more than "living close". 2) Stack different skillsets together into unique combinations that are hard to match. 3) Work Harder 4) Master Bad/Worse/Worst

somethign *like* street smarts... I wouldn't call it "smarts" though. More like some sort of hard-wired animal instinct that keeps him alive. Sorta how it's hard as helll to kill a chicken. Those dang things will recover from the most horrific accidents and be back to normal in no time.
My dog grabbed one of my chickens by the neck and slung it around for a spell... ripped it halfway open and broke its neck. Wife wanted me to euthanize it (aka throw it acrost the road). I put it in a pet carrier with some food and water, and forgot about it for a week. Damnn thing was as good as new. A week earlier I had to pick up its head and set it in food, and it just had its head stuck in the food just drooling - neck completely broken.
Anyway, I digress.
